I am so glad that you started watching this show it is one of my absolute favorites. The best thing about the show is the way she walks I could watch her walk I'm not sure what it is but the confidence and the bounce of her walk is just amazed to me.

I would never would stop to watch a Scandal reaction because I've watched when it was realeasing season 3 (but then I stopped between season 3 to 4, I don't know why, I loved it), but still it isn't like an important show to me (personally) to stop what I'm doing and watch a reaction video, I don't even remember ANYTHING. But when you said you're reacting to scandal I LOVE IT because it's the same "vibe" of other stuff you react to. Right up your ally, you're gonna love it.

2023-12-21 18:00:21 +0000 UTCanother fun fact about Scandal: it was the first show to be live-tweeted by the entire cast each episode. we stayed up with popcorn and wine (aka scandal dinner) and watched them react to this completely bananas show just the same way we did. also a little hint: when liv and fitz had their first scene and she asked him if he slept with amanda he looked her straight in the eyes and said: “you know there is only one woman I love” and in that moment you could see he was clearly talking about her RIGHT IN FRONT OF CYRUS. I honestly don’t know how he never picked up on that shit 😂🙈

As you pointed out, there's a lot of characters introduced in the pilot, thought I'd give you a quick breakdown of the characters and what we know so far: Olivia Pope & Associates (OPA): * Olivia Pope, our main character and the head of OPA. Based on her conversation with David Rosen, we know she used to hold a White House position, though we don't know what it was. We also know from her conversation with the President that she helped get him elected, again, role unknown as of now. * Quinn Perkins, the new girl * Abby Whelan, the redhead investigator * Huck, ex-CIA & OPA's tech guy * Stephen Finch, the english litigator who got engaged * Harrison Wright, the person who hired Quinn in the opening scene. He likes referring to the OPA crew as "gladiators in suits", to the annoyance of some of the other OPA people. White House & government: * President Fitzgerald "Fitz" Grant III * Mellie Grant, Fitz's wife & the First Lady. We only saw her for a few seconds this episode. * Cyrus Beene, the White House Chief of Staff. He's Fitz's trusted advisor, and the one communicating with Olivia about the Amanda Tanner situation this episode. * Amanda Tanner, the aide who had an affair with the President * David Rosen, Assistant US Attorney (AUSA). He's the guy Olivia woke up to "encourage" to hold off on charging the soldier, and who later shows up at OPA to arrest him. Edited to add: As you should probably already know from Greys & Private Practice, Shonda likes her actor reuse. We're kicking that off strong with Jeff Perry as Cyrus Beene, who you surprisingly didn't recognize as also portraying your good friend Thatcher Grey. Keep an eye out for more familiar faces!

Shonda I think has probably an hour to an hour and a half worth of dialogue per episode, and she manages to squeeze it down with the fast talking. But it works for the story/vibe so well! Your reaction when Olivia was going off on Amanda Tanner.... that is exactly how I first reacted. LOL completely speechless. These characters are awesome and I am so glad you were able to see their depth in just one episode. They just film all her side glances and you get the story. Same with that initial meeting of Olivia and the President in Camp David before anything was said outright a lot was communicated with microexpressions and just vibes and you instantly pick up on it that something was going on there. I love when shows trust the viewers like this. We got to experience medical Shonda (Greys and PP) and historical Shonda (Bridgeton). Now lets have fun with the political Shonda xd
