Izzie's speach was a lie, pruor to the merger everyone was out for themselves when it came to the surgeries and learning! Its a competitive resident program, they are always competing. And the "Mercy Westers" were forced into the merger just like Seattle grace, but without the home field advantage, so of course they are trying harder to stand out. And also, just like the Seattle Grace residents who are sticking together and have been judging the newcomers fromnthe moment they walked though the hospital doors, the Mercy West residents are sticking together. What incentive have the Mercy West residents been given by the Seattle Grace residents to be friendly or play nice? This here is the #1 reason I hate Izzie! The way she just left Alex because she assumed the worst about what he said to Richard!

2024-02-12 21:33:21 +0000 UTCi loved Callie here, she came back with bible quotes and didn’t need index cards for them. i felt so bad for her and i feel like Arizona was too nice about him in the beginning, homophobia shouldn’t be something you have to get over. i did love her “good man in a storm” speech though, it’s one of my favorite of the series. and yes, the Mercy West doctors came in as complete AHs, all except Jackson imo. i also if i was Cristina would have dropped Owen, he never has her back when it comes to the job. Burke did many times, Derek always does with Meredith, Alex and Izzie have eachother’s back, and tbh even Miranda as their superior has had their backs but Owen as her boyfriend seems to be worse to her because of their personal relationship. i also think Richard was too hard on Izzie here, i get he was under pressure but he didn’t have to make a cut today and frankly the behavior of many of the Mercy Westers should have been enough to fire them as well, especially Reed and Charles imo.

I get he's trying the best he can, but to fire Izzie for a mistake she made when he would never ever fire the likes of Derek or Mer for mistakes they've made. it was a bit hypocritical on his part, especially after everything Izzie had gone through.

You obviously will remember Jackson Avery, the other 3 are Charles Percy (paired with Izzie), April Kepner (paired with Lexie, notebook girl), and Reed Adamson (paired with Alex, Charles is secretly in love with her). Like many people, I've been looking forwards to seeing your reactions to these new peeps. For Kathrine Heigl, you're correct as to why she leaves., whenever that happens. (and yes, you're correct, the HR person is indeed on 911, portrays "Anne Lee" in 2x12 "Chimney Begins", 3x11 "Seize the day", 4x10 "Parenthood". I think she's Chimney's mom?)

And he makes me feel as hot as it looked like he made you.😂 He is so yummy! Callie is one of my favorite characters and Arizona is….she makes me smile. Also, every time you say “It’s a squirter!” I laugh so much! Ahh, Travis, I love watching your reaction to this series! I love it! Makes my day!

And I know what you were thinking but not saying in that one scene ;) Lexie getting petty revenge on April by exploiting all her insecurities but later empathizing with her, show that Lexie is probably one of nicest characters in the show. Christina's breakdown was long time coming, but Sandra is as always amazing. You can feel her sorrow on not being able to practice her surgical gifts. I also find Callie's story is very touching. I am not religious, but I really appreciate her invoking Jesus's love, versus her father using religion to choose hate. Really good and well acted storyline. And very happy with resolution and her father choosing to love her as he's suppose to. I also love Arizona coming from military conservative family but fully experiencing her family's acceptance and love. I think this is very important aspect of the character. Her upbringing is not mentioned often (last time when she was one of the only people proud of George's enlistment) but when it is usually very meaningful and super well acted
