When you said in the first few episodes that you hate Nathan now so that probably means you'll love him in the end I knew that was gonna be the case 😆 I can relate, I'm a sucker for the jerk turned good guy/girl too lol

2023-06-02 01:01:13 +0000 UTCNot sure where I say change. I said influence. Everyone is capable of being good or bad, so ofc Nathan had it in him. His father and environment played a role, but he was also responsible for his choices. Haley has been a positive influence on his life. What she did change though was the direction he was headed. He has tapped into the good side of himself because of her and wanting to be a good guy for her. He was headed down a dark path and she gave him the motivation to head in the other direction. Haley has given him guidance. (Something he's lacking from his parents.) She doesn't put up with his crap, but at the same time is forgiving, understanding, encouraging, and gives him space to figure things out. As far as Deb, she's a little too late as far as I'm concerned. She caused him a lot of damage too. Deb is saying all the right things now, but it still seems more about her and Dan (finally standing up to him) and their divorce rather than her relationship with Nathan. She barely talks to her son. She's still kinda asleep to me. I like Deb, I think she's great with Karen, but with her son, not so much. It's just very surface level with them. I'm just not impressed with her as a mother. 🤷🏽♀️ (That being said I do understand her situation, becoming a wife (to Dan) and mom at a young age, and how that has played a role in her choices.)

2023-06-02 00:42:09 +0000 UTCThe thing is though he was always capable of being this person, his environment forced him to adapt otherwise. Haley didn't "change" him, she provided a space where he could be himself PLUS his mother woke up and started intervening to change his environment. People can't change people, they can only make space for them to learn and grow or be themselves.

2023-06-02 00:29:17 +0000 UTCYes I love that Karen was a little more gentle with Brooke after finding out her parents are absent. But yes, I always have to remind myself that they're in high school, naive, & susceptible to morally questionable decisions like this.

2023-06-01 23:59:01 +0000 UTCAnd I like Brooke here. I love that Karen appreciates Brooke's efforts. Too bad about the betrayal behind her back. Lucas and Peyton are being terrible to her. I hate this for her. I know they are young and young ppl make mistakes, but I was never able to get behind them after this.

2023-06-01 23:23:23 +0000 UTCI love this episode! Lots of good stuff. My favorites were Nathan going to the hospital for Haley and Nathan being the person Lucas wakes up for. Also, Nathan letting Haley know that he went to see Lucas and that he was awake. Nathan is becoming a better person and it's because of Haley's influence.
