When I first saw this episode I was a teenager just starting my freshman year of high school, watching this with my cousins, and we were all screaming at the top of our lungs when the angels started to move. "AAAAHHH!!!!" Seriously it was funny how terrified we were when we first saw this, it still makes me yip at the jumpscares, even though i've watched it multiple times now. This episode should get an award, its so good!!!

Sally actually points out that he knows shorthand and is surprised by it, but it's also the least important thing about the entire scene so it's pretty easy to miss lol

2023-05-30 20:26:44 +0000 UTCThis is such a great episode! Glad you enjoyed it! For me, I was scared of statues when I was little and then this came out and ever since, it's one of my worst fears lmao. They're freaky as hell and this episode really fueled that fear lol! Can't wait for more episodes!

2023-05-29 22:24:45 +0000 UTCSo glad you loved this episode, it is a great one. Not personally in my top 20 but definitely one of the best and the only Doctor light story that I enjoy. I love the mystery of it and the Weeping Angels are brilliant. So scary but awesome at the same time. Every time they're on this show I feel tense lol. Also yes "back in a mo" is a very common British saying, I use it all the time. 😂 The writer of this episode, Stephen Moffat, takes over as head writer of the show after Russell T Davies leaves when season 4 ends. And Stephen writes seasons 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. And I love all of those seasons, they're my favourites of the entire show so far. And the amazing writing in this episode is a good indication of exactly why. He writes mysteries so well and he writes character development so well too. So you have a lot to look forward to. But for now, I can't wait for the next few episodes. The unique and amazing three part season 3 finale starts in the next episode, then there's another great Christmas special, followed by the start of season 4 which has my second favourite first two episodes from any season. 😊

2023-05-29 20:03:08 +0000 UTCThe Weeping Angels are played by movement artists, and are not props. They are just people trained in dance who know how to stand VERY VERY still lol. They do still use a digital freeze on them just in case there are some minor movements.

2023-05-29 18:48:40 +0000 UTCThe next few episodes I’m excited for you to watch! There have been hints throughout leading up to these next episodes! I love when shoes do that especially when it makes sense after rewatching a show from the beginning and knowing what comes next…

2023-05-29 16:32:21 +0000 UTCI saw the notification for this when I woke up and immediately clicked on it 😂 this is probably my favorite episode of the show (it’s also the highest rated episode of the show on IMDb at 9.8/10 stars)

2023-05-29 15:09:44 +0000 UTCI love this episode, and all the other creepy ones; it’s probably one of my most rewatched episodes of the show. I’m not sure if you noticed, but during some shots (like when Sally got the TARDIS key) where the Angels were on screen, no one in the show was looking at them- so you’d think that they’d move, but the camera was on them, so the audience was technically looking at the angels- causing them to freeze as if a character was looking at them. They only moved when no one in the episode was looking AND when the audience couldn’t see them. (I’m not sure if that was just a fan theory or if it was what they intended, but I like it)

2023-05-29 15:07:30 +0000 UTCOh yeah, those angels are creepy as hell! I mean, I blink a lot, so I would've been screwed if this episode happened to me 🤣🤣🤣. This episode did a great job of building tension and suspense, and the way the Doctor solved the problem was genius! I would watch a horror movie like this one, but only if it's done as well as this episode :)

2023-05-29 14:16:36 +0000 UTChuman nature - family of blood - blink is such a damn good three episode run, one of the best in the whole show in my opinion. glad you loved this one!

2023-05-29 13:56:10 +0000 UTCOf course one of the best episodes ever, and when I first saw it many years ago I was scared and shivering and amazed! And now I looove watching people react to it, and was so much looking forward to your reaction—and was giggling throughout the whole thing (but still shivering a bit cos the sh*t's still scary af haha). So, thank you again for your reaction and an opportunity to relive those emotions with someone else :)
