2023-05-27 00:49:14 +0000 UTCi think this ep is pretty funny! obviously Schue being a caricature of the worst part of the schooling system! i think they obviously made it seem like he didn't know spanish at all and that might have been a bit exagerated bc i don't think he would be the type of guy to not know anything about what he's teaching, but he's deffinitely someone that is getting out of touch! you can even see it in his glee club classes! i thought it was funny! and obviously shows that schooling system is pretty much doomed ad that you rarely have amazing teacher! while he is amazing for the glee club and for those kids, he definitely didn't do anything for the spanish students lol and i love the fact that he's been a terrible spanish teacher for years and how he can just get that history job just like that?? like??

2023-01-31 20:43:21 +0000 UTCMike and Brittany also looked super hot as those ridiculous bulls in Schuester's performance XD Glee was calling Will out on his lack of awareness and knowledge on Latin culture but the music choice telss me producers were also clueless. Brittany would've killed a Shakira song, I mean, how about a Brittana duet? How long has it been since they performed something together? Gloria Estefan had dozens of fun hits. How about the Brazillian song "Mas que nada"? Black eyed peas covered it. I mean, there were better choices but oh, well. It is what it is. At least we got a duet between Naya and Ricky Martin and both looked and sounded great. Knowing now that Glee usually did things overnight, they were very lucky they had chemistry.

That ultimate sing-off between Home Free and the Filharmonic on the Sing-Off when The Filharmonic was trying to teach Home Free (particularly Rob, lol) how to do a specific move: "It's like a mermaid" "Oh, like a mermaid! Not surprised that they were both given this line because no one else would be able to deliver that line like they do. Both characters are often used to point out the ridiculousness of what the other characters are doing. I am so glad that they finally pointed out (after almost 3 years) the ridiculousness that Will is a Spanish teacher and I'm happy with the way they used Santana to do it. I liked that she wasn't mean, but determined and strong about it and that she even gave him a compliment about his teaching and what she's learned from him. I too wish they would have picked a better solo for Ricky Martin, but I love his number with Naya. And yes, she looked really hot alongside the hot dish that is Ricky Martin. She was so excited about working with him and she even showed her mom the performance before the episode aired. Mercedes' solo was by Gloria Estefan.

Also the fact that both Captains of the Cheerios filed complaints about teachers really says a lot about Sues’s choice to make them Captains. They demand excellence from the their teammates so of course they also demand excellence from their teachers.
