Steam and itch.io have banned/delisted NSFW content, Patreon might be next. Move your subscription to our website to save JOIGang and maintain access to your benefits (and also get a permanent 10% discount)

Xan here. As many of you are aware, itch.io have just delisted ALL of the NSFW content due to pressure from Mastercard and Visa. A few days ago, Steam have also banned some of its NSFW content, delisting hundreds of games without a warning for the same reason. The same can happen to Patreon any moment now, as the global NSFW games ban seem to progress at an extremely rapid pace. It is not a stretch to say that you might wake up tomorrow to see our Patreon page gone.

Note that this purge does not threaten only the more 'kinky' games, as you might have heard. The radical organization, Collective Shout, that's behind pressuring the payment providers to remove those games, have clearly stated that their goal is to remove ALL PORN from the internet. And, due to the current cultural landscape of the western world, they are being rapidly successful at achieving this goal, itch.io being an example of that.

As of now, only 35.3% of our subscribers are subscribed to us through our website. This means that the moment Patreon follows the footsteps of Steam and itch.io, 64.7% of our subscriptions will be lost and the JOIGang as you know it will cease to be.

There is an easy way of ensuring that your subscription will not be lost as well as ensuring that the JOIGang project will survive the purge if it happens. It will only take you about a minute or two and it won't cost you anything. It will actually make you pay 10% less than you're paying now, so it's a win-win.

We've also made sure that you won't be double-billed, meaning that, unlike Patreon subscription, you will not be billed at the beginning of the next month.

I urge all of you to help us. If we are not independent of Patreon by the time the purge reaches this platform, then our finances will collapse. If this happens then, best case scenario, we will not be able to deliver as much content as we are now, and worst case scenario we will have to move to making another kind of content entirely, giving up on any sort of NSFW.
