There are no plans of shifting our focus towards the Live JOIs.

Hi everyone!

Xan here. I want to post a quick update so that you aren't kept in the dark as to what our current plans are, both for this month and for the next months as well. I've recently encountered a few comments under the videos as well as in the exit surveys (the feedback that Patreon lets you send when you unsubscribe) saying that our focus is shifting too much towards the Live JOIs, hence why I want to give you an update about it.

I would like to say though that November was the only month since JOIGang's existence where we actually fully integrated the streams into our main project for the month. The streams were always just an extra addition and we have never sacrificed the quality or quantity of the videos for the sake of the streams. Our previous releases would have been the same, no matter if the streams were a thing or not, because the streams are only a bonus content we offer.

In other words, the amount of video content that we did for the last month, this month and the future months have not and will not be decreasing in comparison to the average amount of content we released in the previous months.

We will still be experimenting with new formats, but rest assured that this will never come at the expense of the quantity or quality of our foundation, which are the videos. They will always be released on schedule, as they always have been. The average amount of video content we released this year has increased significantly in comparison to 2023 and will likely increase further in 2025 as we continue to use your subscriptions as the funding for our further growth. The vast majority of our backers are here for the video content. This is why we will continue to deliver it. This is our only primary focus since the existence of this channel and will continue to be so. If we ever decide to deviate from it, for example for the sake of releasing a game, the new content will be released as a separate project entirely, unrelated to the main JOIGang channel and JOIGang will continue its original focus.

Most importantly, making videos is fun. I'm nowhere near burning myself out and neither is Bunny. To be honest, our backlog of ideas is so massive that we'd need more than a year to realize all of it. Not to mention the massive amount of video suggestions you left for us that we want to turn into videos too. Hint: one of them gets adapted on February, but I'm not telling which one. ;)

If you have any feedback or questions, please feel free to talk to us in the comments under this post! Both me and Bunny are open for any sort of feedback, positive or negative!

Cheers,
Xan

I feel like the only reason people were iffy about the live stuff is they couldn’t really always tune in, like I wanna join a live one it sounds fun! But only problem is me personally I can’t really join for them, the actual videos I can do whenever I want. Ykwim

Thank you! No need to worry, I am not affected by it. The reason for the update was mostly because I realized that a lot of people that do not keep constant track of our release schedule and our content might not be aware that the amount of video content haven't really decreased. There has been a lot of streaming happening in November and lots of updates about our streams, so for someone that hasn't been keeping track of those things it might have seemed like our focus was shifting. I wanted to make sure to reassure everyone that it is not the case! Cheers, Xan

Personally I never felt like your focus was shifting to much into the live content. I really like what you do and definitely see that the quality does nothing but rise. You have my support so don't let those people that unsubscribed bring you down. They don't know what they'll be missing.
