i honestly think they do a good job, with exception of 3-4 numbers i dont really hear autotune or stuff like that when they sing

2024-01-30 21:19:13 +0000 UTCi really liked the original songs. mostly get it right. anyway i dont really bother with autotune. ofc they pre record songs, like in every musical, there never life (when i watch the show i image in it live tho, since the characters sing it) they want to make the songs perfect. in some yeah, its more, but in generell i think glee does a good job with it. i believe that the characters sing it live. and mostly i dont hear any autotune or stuff like that.

2023-02-02 16:08:19 +0000 UTCthat Kurt and Blaine duet has to be the worst duet on the entire show like wtf where the producers thinking?? i love Blaine's voice, and i know i dislike Kurt's voice, so i'm not the biggest fan of their duets anyway but i swear they sound so off in this it's crazy! that's such a shame bc i heard the song and it's good! but their cover is awful, idk what was happening in that recording booth lol

2023-01-01 20:45:37 +0000 UTCI'm so disappointed that you didn't like the original songs that the New Directions sang at regionals. I've rewatched Glee with a few different Patreon pages and they've all loved these songs and I love them too. I agree the auto tune is a bit much on Loser Like Me but it's still such an uplifting song and Get It Right is stunning, it makes me cry every time. I think both songs are brilliant and well worthy of winning them the competition. Also Get it Right got to number 6 in the US charts and reached the top 40 in 5 other countries. And Loser Like Me got to number 16 in the US charts and reached the top 40 in 3 other countries. So clearly many people did love them, it's sad that you feel differently. But I respect your opinion of course, each to their own. 👍 Where I do agree with you is on Kurt and Blaine's duet, Kurt just didn't sound great and the song didn't have that epic regionals feel. They could've done SO much better.

2022-12-28 05:59:34 +0000 UTCI can't watch this episode the same after seeing Amber Riley mention Hell to the No on twitter when someone asked "I can't believe you sang that awful song, it's so full of microaggressions" and she replied something along the lines of "you bet I did, and you would've too if you were getting paid [amount of money I forgot]" Oh the things this cast reveals XD

2022-12-08 17:43:27 +0000 UTCBlackbird is one of my favorite solos of Kurt. I just love his voice here. (Another one is I want to hold your hand). I loved your reaction. Especially about Blaine & Kurt. I am just sad that their duet sounded so weird. They actually sound so good together. Don't know what happened in Candles ... And yeah, I am not a fan of their original songs either. Hell to the no is great though haha

2022-11-06 10:56:40 +0000 UTCFun fact: Chord Overstreet (Sam) didn't know he had a big mouth until he joined the glee cast. Poor guy, they really said "let's write a song about your new-found insecurity"

2022-11-04 16:43:57 +0000 UTCI thought the original songs were funny & a little cringey the first time. Now i Just love them for what they are. I love Get it Right! One of my favorites. Also I couldnt wait to see you react to Blaine & Kurt. I think everything about their first kiss is perfect. Its such a sweet moment. & Blaine is so vulnerable & its such a beautiful perfect moment.

2022-11-03 17:07:15 +0000 UTCI agree that Candles was a weird song choice for them. Who decides to sing a breakup song at the beginning of your relationship? It doesn't set a good tone for the rest of the relationship. The originals are still on all my playlists today but I do love Hell to the No better than Trouty Mouth, mostly because I can actually get the words out my mouth without dying laughing.

2022-11-03 04:38:44 +0000 UTCI don't love Loser Like Me, but I always enjoyed Get It Right for what I once heard someone refer to as the "Lord Jesus" note hahahah. That said, super excited for you to see the next episode as it's one of my personal favorites.

2022-11-03 03:45:22 +0000 UTCaww, i guess i'm the odd one out here. I LOVED the original songs!

2022-11-03 02:33:04 +0000 UTCCandles was a weird song choice vocally as well as subject matter for them. I do like the originals, though, keeping in minds that these are high schoolers, but Trouty Mouth will always be my favorite. Considering how often Naya breaks character laughing, I don’t know how the hell she was even able to record this much less film the scene without just cracking up every single take. Amber did have to hid behind her notebook though.

2022-11-03 01:48:40 +0000 UTCI agree, the live Loser Like Me sounds drastically better!

2022-11-03 01:40:12 +0000 UTCI haven’t even hit play yet but TROUTY MOUTH!!!!

2022-11-03 00:51:19 +0000 UTCI don’t know what was up with the auto tune in the episode. Sometimes the people making the glee songs really auto tune like crazy, I have no idea why. I actually like Rachel’s song, and when I was in middle school when this episode came out in real time, I did like “Loser Like Me” but now it’s definitely a bit cringey. I think it really was of its time maybe? I don’t think I really loved any of the songs in this episode, they all feel kind of low quality and rushed. Especially Kurt and Blaine’s duet. Like for some reason they way they harmonized sounds kind of dissonant and weird to the ears? Idk, I did like the plot of this episode and the drama between Rachel and Quinn. But yeah the songs were definitely lacking in my opinion

2022-11-02 23:35:08 +0000 UTCI thought Kurt and Blain's duet was terrible other than Blain sounding good. I preferred The New Direction's songs only because they both sounded great despite being pretty cheesy.

2022-11-02 23:04:58 +0000 UTCI usually agree with you on most stuff in this show but I actually loved kurt n Blaine duets. Also the 2 original songs I felt were great to n that's saying alot bc I hate Rachel

2022-11-02 21:38:23 +0000 UTCAnd, yeah, the autotuning is really bad in this one. I think it's been pretty bad the whole time, but it was really evident in this one. But that's what these types of shows/movies do. They have to make everything so processed and fake sounding, when they don't have to do that since everyone sounds so good already

2022-11-02 21:11:13 +0000 UTCAlso Loser Like Me sounded way better live and in person. I was at their concert in New York that they filmed for the movie and it was the first time I ever liked it. Travis, you should watch the concert movie after this season!

2022-11-02 21:06:30 +0000 UTCYeah I've never cared for the regionals original songs. Some fans like them but I do not.

2022-11-02 21:06:25 +0000 UTClol Travis! I mean, for me, no high school regional show choir competition is gonna have anyone as good as those three groups (maybe once in a blue moon), but that's just me. Now, if this were college, I would agree with you 100% Travis! But, anyways, I completely forgot about "Trouty Mouth" and it was hilarious. I was dying of laughter when Mike Chang looked at Sam during that song! But, yeah, we have to remember that these are teenagers, so original songs like this are to be expected, and I think the songs at regionals were awfully good for high schoolers! I do think the Warblers were better, but they had to have the New Directions win here

2022-11-02 21:04:46 +0000 UTCHell to the No was the best of the student songs, but Trouty Mouth is a personal fave because of Naya. Who else could sell that jazzy soulful number without cracking the hell up while singing it? (and also look hot while doing it) You're right about the song for Kurt and Blaine. So many others they could have chosen and it was a breakup song and they just got together! That's why they couldn't really sell it. I think the producers purposely had to choose a subpar song for them because they had to make sure that the New Directions won. And yes, the autotune was too much in this episode.

2022-11-02 21:03:33 +0000 UTCI'm fully on board with "Trouty Mouth" ❤️ 🐟 👄

2022-11-02 21:02:54 +0000 UTCOkay those ones I appreciate for their comedic value. The ones at regionals....it's a no from me dawg lol
