The Silence of the Lambs (Patreon Request/Early Access)

Jodie Foster stars as Clarice Starling, a top student at the FBI's training academy. Jack Crawford (Scott Glenn) wants Clarice to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Crawford believes that Lecter may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out.

Love this movie! Saw this decades ago, then again recently with another reactor. I gotta say, Anthony Hopkins never disappoints. He can go from playing Hannibal Lecter in this movie, to playing Abraham Van Helsing in Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), to playing Odin (Thor's father) in Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and Thor Ragnarok. He always brings a sense of gravitas to his roles and he always gives his best (at least from what I've seen him in). Jodie Foster (who's pretty much a baby in this movie) does a very good job portraying Clarice. I would not recommend the sequels (which do not have Jodie Foster as Clarice). They're a far cry from this movie. The prequel, Red Dragon, is much better than the sequels, but doesn't quite reach the heights of this movie. Oh, in your Stranger Things season 2 episode 8 reaction, you were wondering what a "flayer" is. Well, it's Buffalo Bill. If you think back to Game of Thrones and House Bolton, their sigil is the flayed man, which is a man with skin stripped of him. Yeah, not a pretty picture

Do yourself a favor and treat the other movies with caution. Red Dragon was very good, but Hannibal and Hannibal Rising were meh. Again, don't know if you're a reader but all the novels by Thomas Harris are pretty good. Hannibal Lecter is even more psycho in the books. If you like this sort of serial killer thing, Criminal Minds is a great TV show. When my daughter was a baby, we would moisturize her skin every night. When she started getting towards the toddler years, she started to object and my husband and I would always say to her, "It puts the lotion on the skin or else it gets the hose again." Yes, I know. Mom and Dad of the year LOL. I also watched a LOT of Supernatural with her around. Now when I ask her what do we do about ghosts, she says, "Salt and burn." Then I ask her what we do with witches and she says, "Witch killing bullets." In the book, Lecter says something different when he confronts the Senator about nursing her daughter. He called it 'thirsty work'. It wouldn't have the same screen punch, but it was a pretty cruel thing to say. Though I didn't understand how cruel it'd been until I'd had and nursed my own daughter. You've got this little baby you're feeding, hungry, needing you, looking up at you like you're the whole world. It was some of the most precious moments as a new mother. And he twisted it into this barb that'd really hit where it hurts.

ok got the info for ya......Jame Gumb (known by the nickname "Buffalo Bill") is a fictional character and the main antagonist of Thomas Harris's 1988 novel The Silence of the Lambs and its 1991 film adaptation, in which he is played by Ted Levine. In the film and the novel, he is a serial killer who murders overweight women and skins them so he can make a "woman suit" for himself.
