As he grapples with the problem of having a dragonrider he didn't know about, Rhaenyra and Daemon argue their case and Alicent ends up making a suggestion that shocks all of them.

Just reread the chapter and had some more thoughts. I say again Alicent is the Cersei of her time Beautiful but so very very stupid. In the section where she bashes Rhaenyra for potentially marrying Jon for having no connections, no armies,no money,and no friends in the high lords this is all before suggesting Jon marry Rhaenyra and then remembering that he has a dragon. Not to mention that this is House Targaryen at its zenith its members could do almost anything and there was only the king/head of house Targaryen that could hold its members accountable so even if Rhaenyra didn't get permission to marry Jon it would only be a momentary bit of gossip plus Rhaenyra is the apple of Viserys eye even Alicent can only change his mind so much so one way or another Jon is going to marry Rhaenyra.

I also believe that if events will remain in a same pattern poor Otto would loose all his hair)))). On the another matter, as so many people asked about other pairing. If i am not wrong it was already second chapter where author tell us by Rhaenyra's lips that she and Jon are exclusively together. But still, the Tyrell girl, Alys and woman Rhaenyra experiment are those characters just minor ot potential bed interests for Jon and Rhaenyra? I mean if it's exclusive JonxRhaenyra story it's not bad but there is so much possibilities. Starting from BDSM with experimental girl, some dark rough encounter with Alys and gentle love with Tyrell girl cuz she really need a good "hug". But still i understand disposition as author build most realistic world around characters. Rhaenyra is the dragonrider and princess she not the one who would share. Only if she wouldn't go for show trope and seduce some maid or let herself be sedused by someone like Alys....... Author please just tell us already if there be Jon x Rhaenyra x more girls harem???

Both beautiful have overbearing fathers think they are smartest person in the room when in fact they are the dumbest. Only question I have is who or what was in Laenor's room? I think Jon and Rhaenyra conversation was save from being overheard as far as we know Laenor's personal room wasn't connected to Jon and Rhaenyra's. Hope we finally get the dual between Jon and Daemon next chapter. As for Aly's she should become the Master of Whispers for Rhaenyra as well wet nurse she has Green sight and possible is a Warg as well. Also question do we know which dragon fathered Syrax eggs? Personally hope that it was Morgul since that would show that he is becoming more friendly with other dragons.

And the ๐คฃi let when she started to realise her idea might not be such a good 1, we live for delusional Alicent self-sabotaging herself. Vis letting the dragon out just a bit before going googoo gaga over clever Alicent is as hilarious as i knew it was going to be. Who was in Laenor's room? And did they hear their conversation?

2025-12-26 21:09:46 +0000 UTCHahahaha Alicent was so stupid, I fucking loved it!! The scene in the Painted Room was very funny. Loved the chapter! Btw, I was wondering, will there be other women who join Rhae and Jon in bed? Thereโs been absolutely no indication of that so far in the story.

I wonder the reason for the mention of Laenor's door as they went back to their separate chambers. Alys is a character already, and though both Rhaenyra and Jon claim they'll never bed her.. It may be the best way to keep her loyalty and skills on side. Viserys is a lot more vicious towards bastards than we usually see of his character in this chapter, makes me wonder if it was just him panicking or the fact it's Daemon's?? Great chapter!

It'd be a nice running theme with your other stories with Jon at least ๐
