You nurture a plant for a year, watching the earliest of shoots come up from the ground. Water and light, and nutrients, and finally one day the first buds appear, and then they open.
That alone is cause for celebration, but then friends and models alike visit, and share in this. I did not create the plant, but here it is, and I am responsible. Devin's love of flowers reinvigorates my excitement, and with that excitement I am pushed to take images I might otherwise have not. Photo shoots are often fun, silly, nothing like people would imagine, and while I am at my heart a silly forest person. I think that is something often missing from my work.
I hope to convey that better. While I take my work seriously I aim to not take myself so seriously.
