Vaunt Botanical Study - Rhododendron
Added 2019-10-05 20:43:31 +0000 UTCI think that I'm starting a new thing, or at least I'm starting down a branch that will one day be its own thing. Nicole and I have been working together for such a long time, and our rolls have for the most part stayed the same, but I feel a shift coming in both of our inspiration. This home is changing us. We are growing.
My interest in nature and photographing I believe is quite apparent, but as a steward of a small forest I am seeing new sources of inspiration for both of us. More and more Nicole is picking up the camera documenting things too small to incorporate into photographs I am drawn to of grand scale. More and more I am drawn towards imagery really exploring the flora of our land. I want to see and share interconnectedness. For a long time one of the things I have wanted to share in my work is how small we are, now I feel this new pull. I feel a new sense of composition creeping in.
I am not sure where this will go, or if this will go. But I like to be open to the possibility. Maybe this is a new thing for me. Maybe this is a new thing for both of us. A thing that we can both photograph for, model for, a new way for us to grow on this journey together.
