I feel like I haven't set the camera down for months. There is an event and then an event and then an event. Our door is always open to guests, and there is rarely a lack of them. This is not a complaint. My favorite part of the work is creating the image in camera, connecting with somebody for a couple of moments, and seeing what the two of us together can create.

Emma came down for exxxotica to see the convention, and was kind enough to drop by for a little bit to shoot one evening. The light felt almost too perfect in our front yard, and the resulting images really just confirmed that for me. It had been storming off and on all day to the point where it was honestly too dangerous to cross the creek and head into the woods, so it was nice to find this relaxing spot just outside our front door and create in the shade of the Douglas Firs in the front yard. The last of our early spring flowers surrounding her just created this peaceful moment in a weekend that I knew would be a whirlwind.

There is not much more I could ask for.
