Aybaby Midnight in the Setting Sun

Sunset is relative to where you are standing.  Hours before it dips past the horizon it can touch your window for the last moment on any given day.  We have built ourselves little box canyons.

Aybaby Midnight (Bixton) was kind enough to pick me up, and drive me clear across town so we could shoot on her incredible couch on my last trip to Vegas.  Light is such a fascinating thing for me.  Years previous I would have been traveling with strobes, bouncing them into the ceiling to get the same nice soft light I chase when I am shooting outdoors, but I don't drive so much these days, and I'm loathe to fly with an entire light kit in tow.

So now the challenge for me is really "where do I stand?"

Do I let the sun flare into my lens by getting just a little lower, do I embrace the directional quality of window light.  Both? Neither?  The challenge is telling a cohesive story, while properly exploring a place, and its light.
