One last walk through the backyard I came to love over two summers, a trip to pack boxes, and empty the home we made ours for two years. One last shoot in Seattle.
In the movie of our lives I suppose Nicole and I do one last shoot in our place, before packing all our shit up and moving down to Portland, but in real life maybe the perfect ending is working with an incredible creative you just met on the internet while you were getting ready to move. Then you're gone.
Emma Belle came down on what would be my last day dealing with the chaos of Seattle, and we spent a relaxing afternoon in the cold drizzle working together for the first time, but I think we really clicked, and made some amazing imagery. I was reminded of all the things I love about the North West...incredible light, incredible nature, incredible color. Things I still have down here in Portland.
I can say with certainty I won't miss that place. It will be gone before I get up there to see it again I'm sure. I will miss the memories from that time, but we are onto such new things I can't wait to share.
