Nicole works twice a year in Vegas, and due my past experiences trying to work there I rarely joined her, but I was very wrong. Vegas is an incredible city, and now that I have more experience with what I want in a city/location I love it.
The flashing lights, casino's, and downtown of Vegas does very little for me. It can be intensely overwhelming, and feel like a circus, which you have no choice but to be part of as you walk the strip, but there is a city outside of the city, and outside of that there is nature.
As a food city Vegas is incredible. All the tourists from all across the world come here to gamble, to party, and to eat. Eating is probably my second passion to photography, and I have found an endless amount of place to eat for surprisingly cheap.
Then there is the nature. Vegas is surrounded by incredible desert. Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, The Great Basin, and Death Valley are all so close, and I have hardly explored any of them enough. Each time I go I find a new magical place to photograph. This trip I went out to Valley of Fire four days in a row to shoot. The days were short so I spent only a short amount of time shooting each day, but I managed to create so many photos I love.
I hope you will love them as well.
