Have I told you guys that the Pacific North West is fucking magical?

We've had three months of straight sunshine in Seattle, which to most people sounds amazing, but honestly for me...not that great. I moved here because I love clouds! So I've sort of switched strategies for location finding to what I normally do in Arizona and Southern California look up swimming holes, and hit them on the week days.

I found this spot called the Green River Gorge Resort online and thought from one kind of crappy photo that I found that it could be a decent place to shoot. Then we got there and it was a goddamn wonderland. Twenty feet past the spot of that mediocre snapshot photo the river opened up into the amazing carved canyon. From there it was a fine art nude photographers dreamscape.

Amber, Almida, Porcelain, Lillias and our puppy companion's spent the day drinking beers, swimming, and shooting through out the day. Fun fact this amazing location is just an hours drive from Seattle, and used to be a functioning resort, but closed down in the 50's never to reopen, but you can still pay a small fee to get down and experience it.

I pretty much never say this in regards to man made things in nature, but I wish I could have seen this place when it was fully functioning. There are abandoned hot tubs at the foot of the river, behind a waterfall, and an abandoned hotel at the top of the cliffs that look out over the river.
