One of the downsides of traveling is it feels nearly impossible to get on a plane and not get sick. Our trip down to South America it felt like we were surrounded by people with the flu on the plane, on the ferry, and on the buses we took, but we managed to get all the way down there and back without getting sick...then I got home, and the wheels came off.
So now I'm laying in bed sick, and I have been for a couple of days, but that is all well and good because in between naps I'm catching up on editing, and work I couldn't do while we were away including this amazing shoot I had with Jessa in the forest near our place in Philly.
One of the things I loved about this place is the little things in photos like the way the way water bends around the subject, and the small ripples on the surface. It is such a simple place compared to the locations Nicole and I chase, but I love the the calmness in the water, and the calmness in that forest. It gives me the perfact place to really focus on models as the subject. I love using the 50mm and 85mm lenses to pull the focus in and throw the forest out.
