The forest has always been my second home. I like the quiet, the moments away from everybody.
When I was 12 I was almost kicked out of the scouts for leaving the cabin and hiking as far as I could through the trees in the soaking rain. It hadn't really occured to me that the forest would end, and I would find myself in a suburban development hiking through families back yards. The forest always ends, and when it does people are there.
I don't think I'm a misanthrope, I love the people that I love, and I love creating with the people I create with. I don't think we are all in search of the same thing when we crawl into a stream, but we still end up at the same place, peacefully creating in what piece of nature we can find.
Shooting with Liv Sage was one of the highlights of my summer that had many highlights. We hiked a couple hundred feet into the Wissahickon and shot briefly. Everything went right.
