Hey! Honestly, I'm still digesting Iceland, while simultaneously trying to mentally prep for our move to the PNW. I tried as best I could to get some editing done each night in Iceland, but workshop schedules are always very intense. We try to get the most out of every day, and I think everyone does an amazing job to make that happen.
I don't really know how best to make a blog post that will really capture what it is like to be in Iceland among a group of incredibly talented students, teachers, and models all working as hard as possible to create. It is really an experience beyond description. Svala, Romi, Nicole, and Darby were incredible. Iceland for models is about as hard as it gets. The weather is intense, the landscape is intense, and the long days are intense. Every location they went above and beyond my expectations.
One of the things I really love about workshops is how teaching forces me to think about my work even more. When a student asks why I do something the way I do sometimes it isn't necessarily something I've thought about, so having those moments let's me think through my own work, and explain it. It also makes me a better photographer.
I want to say so much more about this workshop, but really words are failing me. We are already talking about how we can put together another workshop for 2017 in Iceland, and maybe one in the PNW as well. For now I'd just like to share these all with you!Full Gallery
