After our brief shoot at Red Rocks in Denver, Bae and I decided to head back to the hotel I was staying at to shoot more. Red Rock was super hard to shoot with, and it was incredibly sunny. After hiking all over we had only managed to find one spot to take photos, so we definitely felt like we wanted to keep creating!
Back at the hotel it was interesting to see how much different the room photographed with the window light in the early afternoon vs the late evening when Nicole and I had shot the day before. I love the challenge of shooting in new places, and this is one of the few times I have shot the same hotel room twice before check out.
For these I really wanted to do something outside of series, and just experiment with the new 50mm lens. I hadn't really used it at all at this point in the trip. I loved the way Bae's hair stood out in the green room and natural light, and she's an absolutely amazing model. In the 40 minutes before we had to be out of the room we managed to create a bunch of beautiful photos.
Hope you all enjoy this little break from my usual work.
