Vaunt and Reed for The Jungle

We're on the road!!

Our first stop, like almost every first stop since we started traveling, had to be Columbus to catch up with our Ohio friends. We decided it would be fun to shoot Reed and Vaunt together for The Jungle and play around with all the pieces we'd picked up from Stockroom and Love and Light Bondage.

It was a perfectly cloudy day, my favorite type of light to shoot in, so taking the photos was easy. I picked up my trusty 5d MK II with my Sigma 85mm F1.4 pressed down the shutter and the autofocus didn't move. Tried a few more times, and realized that the motor was probably burnt out...fortunately literally a week before we'd gotten our new Sigma Art 50mm F1.4, so I switched them out and we were off to the races.

I love the perspective of the 50mm even more with these shots because it feels so much like what you would see if you were there, and playing with the incredibly low depth of field made it even more fun, and creates a sense of intimacy I think otherwise would be missing.

We are so excited to be on the road again and shooting I hope you all enjoy the art we get to create while traveling!
