Ollie Rad for Temperance
Added 2016-02-05 00:27:37 +0000 UTCIts been such a busy winter especially for my Temperance series. The short cold days of winter don't make for great conditions shooting for Into the Wild, so I've been really focusing on Temperance pushing myself to keep exploring different ways to shoot in the small room. Ollie's shoot was the last of the lay out that I've been shooting Temperance in for almost its entire existence. Up until now I've mostly just been changing my perspective, or moving mirrors, or moving the dresser with the attached mirror, but I feel like I've really mined this lay out for as many different photos as I could possibly get!
So in the next couple of weeks I'm really excited to show you guys some new and exciting shots I'm getting now that I've rearranged the room a bunch.
My shoot with Ollie went fantastically. Bouncing the light off the ceiling actually makes it pretty easy to shoot with glasses, which I was pretty worried about, and she is amazing in front of the camera. I love how well the 85mm F1.4 is able to isolate the subject in every image. Throwing the wall paper into or out of focus depending on where it falls in the reflection.
I think that this year I will be able to release a first edition of Temperance as a book. I'm still brainstorming for how to create it, and how to release it, but I'm really excited to start putting it together.
