Exning at Sunset Beach

I feel an intense amount of pressure to not let someone down when they are willing to travel. Its such an honor. Exning traveled from Arizona to San Diego to make this shoot happen, and I spent most of my day worrying about the light. Its sunny in southern California. Its very sunny.
I also was still suffering from my fall between some rocks two days before, so I was a little hobbled.
Fortunately near this little sea cave you can almost guarantee that at some point around sunset you are going to get some beautiful subtractive light, and with beautiful subtractive light you can also guarantee some beautiful photos. It felt like a little bit of a cop out to shoot at the same place twice in one trip, but honestly with such an amazing secluded spot in such a big city who wouldn't?
I used my 85mm F1.4 for all of these and treated it much more like a shoot for the Jungle than Into The Wild. I wanted there to be some variation in composition and theme between my shoot with Krysta Kaos and my shoot with Exning, so that I wasn't taking the same photo multiple times. Since we were shooting lingerie as well I figured I could make these photos much more about a singular subject than having multiple points to draw the eye...less of a tableaux and more cinematic I guess.
