2025-01-06 18:42:12 +0000 UTCOh no! I’m not sure how I didn’t see this post about your mom having to go through that. And having to wait for any updates is difficult as well. I’m glad to see it seems to have had minor impairments-which, while tough, is good to know starting to recover. On my 36th birthday last year I was in a kickboxing work out and just dropped-I had a left arterial dissection (it tore in my neck), and had a series of mini strokes all along the back portion of the brain & in both hemisphere’s. I got very lucky (truly). It seems your mother was in wonderful hands & getting well taken care of! My 1 piece of wisdom I’d impart from my rather lackluster care- any therapies her insurance or Medicare etc will offer/cover-DO IT ALL! That first 90 days are crucial to preventing long term issues. I had to do my own (I’m an OT) bc so many things were not done correctly, and I know she absolutely wants to be able to do what grandmothers and mom’s do best-be there and spoil them beyond belief!
