July 2024 Roadmap + Opening Up About Anxieties
Added 2024-07-01 14:00:20 +0000 UTCGreetings Patrons! I wanted June to be more productive than it was, and admittedly I struggled a lot with writing. Each month I feel the need to top my previous efforts and it's gotten to a point where I struggle to write due to the mounting pressure I put on myself. I know if I push myself I can always make something better than before. But at this point my schedule has slipped too much from trying to do better and better each month. I need to remind myself that "done" is better than "perfect". I will focus this month on getting everything done at a fast-but-polished rate. I'm sorry to have not been more productive, but being a perfectionist is, as it turns out, the perfect excuse to not do the work you're supposed to do. Hiding behind the guise of quality, when in actuality you are just stunting your own productivity and calling it a good thing. You all deserve better than that, which is what I plan to do from now on.
The Sailor Moon script and the Katara/Toph script will be my priority for this week. Asuka and Mori are in the works. Asuka should be releasing this week as well.
Here's this month's schedule:
July 1st: At 6PM EST the July Suggestion Box goes up, announcing this month's theme. announcing this month's theme. Suggestions close on Wed, July 10th at 11:59 PM EST.
July 1st-7th: I will be dropping all the scripts I haven't yet uploaded this week.
July 2nd: Ecstatic Listener ($10) request box opens. I will also contact all those at the Naughty Disc Jockey ($25 and up) tiers privately to begin production of their monthly gift audios shortly after the poll goes up. Please try to have your suggestions ready by then.
July 11th: July 2024 poll begins and closes Saturday, July 20th at 11:59PM EST.
I will work harder to overcome my own worries about the quality of my work, and instead focus on delivering work in the first place.

2024-07-01 22:02:34 +0000 UTCMan, I really understand this struggle, as it's something I go through a lot with my own work. It was once said to me that "the perfect is the enemy of the good," and that's something I think about a lot when I'm dealing with this problem. Of course, it's easier said than done. Wishing you the best this month!
