Hattie and I have been trying to meet up and shoot all year with no success. We've both made Philadelphia our home base, but both of us traveling 6 months or more a year leaves very little overlap in availability, but we finally made it happen last night.
I'm trying to get a couple more shoots in so that I have some new images to use for a gallery show I have coming up this February. Getting ready for a gallery show is always sort of difficult to me because as soon as I start going through images to make prints of I also start re-editing and updating those very images. Constantly trying to get better typically leaves me dissatisfied with any photos I created over three months ago.
I've been trying more and more to use my longer zoom lenses when I'm shooting at home to create a better isolation of my subject and significantly less DOF. These are small rooms I'm working in, so previously I was mostly shooting with my 24-70mm, but after embracing the mirrors, I've been able to switch to mostly using my 70-200mm. All of these images are reflections
