You could even pull the camera back slightly, and put some taller plants in the background to go with the plant by the table! It would give the set much more life! Maybe one on Matt's right and one on Ryan's left (like still behind the chair, just more to one side), so the middle is still open to prevent the shot from getting too crowded?

I really like the set! I think having visuals for a podcast really helps with getting the audience more engaged with what you're talking about! One nitpick: Ryan's chair kind of blend in with the background, making Matt's very red chair pull a lot of focus. I think if there was something of a lighter color behind Ryan, it would help balance out the visuals a lot more! Maybe something simple like warm filtered light in the background, so he looks more in the forefront? Then you could have a cool toned light behind Matt, to further balance out the colors! Just a suggestion! :D
