Following on with our Ancient City series, welcome to our Hippogriff Postal Centre. Set high up within the city looking out across the river. From atop the grand Hippogriff bust, the vista is absolutely incredible.
This place is world famous, so much so that they've had to employ a ticketing system for all customers. You'll need to get here early in the morning if you want to guarantee same-day air mail!
Rumour also has it, the 'Postmaster General' along with a few select individuals may even have a secret smuggling operation based underground in the secret caverns below this building. We're working on a follow up map right now based on this idea including a huge underground cave system linking into the city sewers, along with interiors for this main building. We hope to release that later this month!
We really hope you're enjoying this Ancient City theme so far, we have lots more in the works now thanks to all of your brilliant suggestions in the Discord.

2025-08-07 10:24:23 +0000 UTCThat's beautiful. The detail on the paving and the stonework is incredible. I will say, for my tastes, I don't love it when there are creatures drawn on the map. I'm not sure why, but I think maybe it's because in my head, creatures belong as tokens on top of the map. Or maybe it's just that its implying that there is always a hippogriff floating exactly there. Its definitely just a me thing, but it isn't the first time its been mildly bothering me. I have resorted to painting creatures out a few times.
