We talked about making some hag lairs a while back but this week Peku suddenly had inspiration for how she wanted to design an Annis Hag lair and here's the result. We might make some more hag lairs in the future when inspiration hits!
We know it's a bit gruesome but that's just what hags are like. A lot of the motifs: the skulls, twigs and skins were inspired by the fifth edition art. The undulating hills, dead trees and the zig-zag pattern of the ribs were inspired by war trenches. We thought of parties having to weave up and down and duck behind cover without being seen as the hag brews her potions at the skull's open mouth.
Aaand that's the last map of the month. We'll be back in August with an elven sci-fantasy map, a quaint village church, a surgery theatre and our take on the Spelljammer crystal ship!
