Hey everyone!
Way waaaaay back in the depths of mythical pre-covid 2019, we released a map called the Abandoned Mine Entrance. It was one of our first maps and we never expected to actually make the mines connected to it, but people have asked us a lot to do a follow up, so here we are 3 years later with the Mushroom Infested Mines.
The two maps don't stitch together, there's some implication that you've followed one of the three paths down into the mines and you've come to the point at which they're converging. This is where the miners were digging before the ground collapsed exposing a myconid city below. The fate of those miners remains a mystery but the dense spores has stopped anyone from returning. Now mushrooms fill the caves filling them with beautiful luminesence and noxious air.
If you all like this follow up and want us to continue below into the caves below, let us know in the comments! (hopefully it won't take us 3 years to make the next one)
Oh and a big thank you to everyone who voted for us to win this year's Best Cartography at the Ennies. It means a lot to us. :)
