Train Station Concourse [36x71]

Hey everyone! This is our last map pack of the year, so we hope you enjoy it! This is the concourse/ground floor of our train station map. Next month we'll be releasing the underground platform level with variations for both our steamtrains and our lightning rail trains.

We wanted to make something that could be a space in and of itself, in case you don't have trains in your world. So hopefully this can act like a city government office or grand shopping arcade or other large building in your capital.

Here's Peku's sketch of the clock with the ticket kiosk in case you want to see how we design things.

For the $5+ tiers we've added in this transparent PNG version of the map, so that you can use it ontop of other maps as a magical looking glass or portal device. We've laid it on top of the Lakeside map for an example. :)

Oh and Ela Morana has composed a track to accompany this map which we'll be posting shortly after this. Please go check out their Patreon.

Have a great New Years Eve and see you all in 2021!

Ahahah, i just realised you have a mistake here. 4 in Roman numbers is IV, not IIII.

Second this. Having "overhead" components ship separate means I can plop them over any variant of the map, which is super useful. It *also* means I can do fancy things in Foundry to make them go over tokens who are underneath, and under tokens who are on it. Similarly, certain components could be offered as small images with transparency that you can plop on (maybe locked behind specific tiers?). So like, the luggage/mimic luggage could be separate components that can be dropped on any variant of the map desired. Or, as an example, a map with a ton of flags/banners could come with large transparent images of just flag/banner variants that can be plopped onto any of the other map variants as needed.

Would it be possible to get the girders as a transparent layer - to use with other variations or other maps? Thanks!

Roll20 has archaic map standards, just switch out to LITERALLY anything else. Guys.. this transparent map is the ONLY excuse to use WebP. Be very careful of visual artifacts (players will zoom in). Do NOT even try it at crappy Roll20 settings, though. WebP already sucks because it tries to force crappy quality settings on you. I almost never recommend WebP, because it trades file size for CPU cycles (to decrypt its advanced encryption algorithms) However, you don't really NEED a lossless train station map either, so..? :)

The transparent version will be much bigger than the others because it has to be PNG file type to handle the transparency, which are always a lot bigger than JPGs. As for the others, I'm not sure a good work around, its just a natural consequence of making large and hi-res maps.

Cze and Peku

So I'm trying to use one of these for a roll20 map, but all the ones that would fit what I need (Transparent, Clock, no clock or interdimensional ) are all beyond the 5 mb. Why are some of these more space than others? and does anyone have a work around? I'm basically trying to find a map to be a council room

These maps are... perfect ^.^ Everytime I need something really special for my players, I only have open your page, ideas are literally flow from Your maps :)

Exactly! So many of their maps are great for our Eberron campaign!

krynny

All your haunted map variations are inspiring me to send my players into the Mournland.

Kyle A. Berg

This is soooo good. I'm actually going to slide this into my next arch... it gives me so many ideas.

Kackman

This looks so so nice! Happy New Year and may 2021 be the best for you!

RAG MASTER

The details you packed into this map are fantastic! I know a particular player of mine who will love the cogs/clock being so central to the entire piece.

monosyllabicmonk

Yeah, it's nothing short of amazing!

The Crafty Dice

Two maps in a single day and on NYE. Cut me some slack. ;)

Cze and Peku

Oh, and Happy New Year!

The Crafty Dice

Woa, awesome! I do think this is the first time I ever beat you two on the number of variants on a release! https://www.patreon.com/posts/45661613 (Although, you already posted another one today with double the variants then mine, but I take what I can get! :D )

The Crafty Dice

*Awesome* idea with the girders! Love that!

The Griffon's Saddlebag

^ I signed on to make the same comment. I'm running an Eberron game and your maps have deftly anticipated my DM needs. It's actually incredible how aptly your maps work for that setting. Keith Baker would be proud.

Jeremy Foote

Knocking it out of the park as usual. At this point you're basically planning my campaign for me whenever you come out with an urban or interior map - now I have to write in a fight in a train station...
