it couldn't have been krista, she was shown with others in the trees while annie was chasing eren through the forest. The krista possibility lasts for about half an episode when she shows up with the horses, but this show loves to throw everything at you all at the same time, you have to be on your toes about the details. It intentionally hides things in plain sight or provides masterful misdirection. It's great that way, because things you think happened never did, things you didn't think would ever happen do. If you were to rewatch the series later, you'll definitely laugh at yourself or be in awe of how much or how little is actually shown and question how you could have ever thought what you did on the first watch.

2025-09-29 20:48:05 +0000 UTCthe first time i watched this, i honestly guessed it was Annie haha, but i dont have any other basis for it except that she looks really similar to the Female titan, and not the masterful deduction that Armin did lol, thank goodness i didn't care about Christa that much as Sarah, coz i definitely would be on the same train haha

2025-09-15 20:44:48 +0000 UTCI haven't re-watched season 1 in quite a while, but just seeing this thumbnail before I even watched the reaction gave me goosebumps. I LOVE Annie's reveal and the extremely tense environment they created just by having her refuse to go underground. And I always love the animation and Mikasa's pose when she pulls the swords on Annie. They're both so badass lol
