At the beginning of this podcast you mention putting out a podcast about opioid chemistry . Did you ever put that out I can’t find it? I was actually scrolling through your patreon looking for something on opioid chemistry so I would love to find it.

2021-10-30 12:45:59 +0000 UTCThanks for pointing that out. I've seen both sides of the story told somewhat persuasively and both sides seem plausible to me. I could see Hayes being bullied into silence by a big corporation whose profit was on the line and there seems to be some evidence for that, I could also see Hayes being nuts, there seems to be some evidence for that as well. I will take some time to look at the issue more thoroughly. That said, Hayes has directly stated that atrazine causes homosexuality in frogs so as far as Alex Jones is concerned this strikes me as a "scientifically valid" claim insofar as Jones is not making it up, this is something an (at least superficially) legitimate and credentialed scientist has actually said.

2021-10-27 18:03:00 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if it was a joke or not but Atrazine does not turn frogs gay and Tyrone Hayes is a liar hack fraud. He refused to release any of the raw data from his initial experiments and used a loophole to bypass peer review and get his paper approved. When two separate labs tried to replicate his results with larger sample sizes and improved methodology, they could not find a link between effeminate behavior or homosexuality in frogs and atrazine. He claims that these researchers are paid shills even though their experiments were designed by the EPA. There is no evidence that Syngenta harassed him or his family, however he did send bizarre emails to Syngenta and some of it’s clients. Here's a screencap of one of them: -https://powerm1985.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/tyrone-hayes-email.png It's not a huge deal but it's a very pervasive myth that doesn't get a lot of pushback, probably because it would be really funny if the one thing Alex Jones was right about were the gay frogs.
