PODCAST 24: The True Story of the Penis Envy Mushroom
Added 2021-07-21 02:12:36 +0000 UTCAn interview 14 years in the making, for the first time the true story of the penis envy mushroom is told. Many apocryphal origin stories have been disseminated (sometimes by me) now, for the first time, the true story of how the most potent cubensis strain was created is told.

Hamilton were you able to receive the spores or caps? If so, are they being worked on? Thank you for your great work!

2023-02-07 05:25:54 +0000 UTCYou hear his caution give way a few times during the interview and his verbiage becomes more formal and his inflection more conventional. Then he goes back to protection mode and scatters things about. I can relate having done many clandestine things in my life and Dealing with a lot of different people. Fascinating interview that I wish was longer. Thanks Ham and Gee & PE

2022-09-10 09:15:30 +0000 UTCIncredible. This might be your crowning achievement. A true slice of counter culture history. It’s Castanedas meets Les Blank. This is true, unadulterated journalism.

2022-06-21 08:52:58 +0000 UTCThis story was very important to me. Thanks. Richard didn’t know what an APE was. Please Hamilton dig into the history of APEs. Would be a great follow up episode. The history of them is actually very difficult to find.
2022-04-06 04:35:52 +0000 UTCNow I understand why the real story was so hard to find. It makes so much sense why richard is the way he is. I would be the same way if all my “friends” were trying to use you for your knowledge instead of just being friends. Thanks for the great interview!

2022-03-25 07:07:45 +0000 UTCI find this guy's story somewhat relatable. I almost died back in 2017 and for a while had trouble understanding just how powerful our minds actually are. Years of therapy later, and last year I started learning about mushrooms and how to grow them, both gourmet and medicinal. Mushrooms have definitely given me life and reawakened the curious spark that years of depressed confusion had sucked out of me. They inspired me to not only get better at my own craft(s), but also got me back into studying psychology and biological sciences. Don't know where it will take me, but I'm happy to be here. I'm not sure that I have a choice, best to make the most of it. haha
