Ben the Werewolf: Part Two (rough draft)

One morning, after removing a collection of books from the roof of your car, you came into the early shift at the library. Upon checking the returns bin at the door, you saw the Blackberry Winter book was amongst them.

“Oh good, now I can call Ben and get him off my back.” You set the book aside, as you wanted to look it over before you checked it back in.

After getting all the morning work done, you took the book and looked it over. “Something about this rings a bell. But I can’t remember.” You opened the book, scanning over the contents. It was a collection of short stories and poems about growing up in rural North Carolina. The various poems had a name similar to the title, like Dogwood Winter, Corn Winter, or April Winter. The book was old too, so it looked like it had seen better days. A lot of the pages were dog eared and corners were ripped. There were sketches and writing in the margins. By all accounts this book should have been replaced long ago, but you didn’t know why it remained on the shelf.

You then came to the page with the title poem ‘Blackberry Winter’, and there was an illustration that covered both pages. It was of a cluster of blackberry bushes, and hidden inside was something that looked like a wolf. The wolf’s eyes had been colored in with yellow highlighter and silver gel pen had been added to the snow falling all over the pages.

A memory then kicked you in the gut. “Oh god…I did this,” you said horrified. You stared at the page, remembering checking out this book just because one of the major poetry contests to get inspiration. You had been bored and just given a set of metallic gel pens.

“I’m an animal,” you whispered. You closed the book as the door opened and stood as someone came in through the door. It was Ben.

You sighed. “Oh its you, I’ll just sit back down.”

“Nice to see you too,” he scoffed. He looked disheveled and slapped together. His hair was messy, his flannel was misbuttoned, and his jeans had mud stains on the knees. “Is that book in yet.”

You held it up. “This one?”

His eyes narrowed. “Can I have it?”

You yanked the book back. “I don’t know. Can you.”

His brows arched. “How dare you?”

“I dare a lot. But yes, you can check it out.” You handed the book over. “I was just getting ready to call you.” You went to the computer to type in his information. From the corner of your eye you saw him bending the book in such a way he could look behind the cover of the book. You just shook your head and kept working. “Alright, it’s yours. Once you return it, we may put it up for the book sale.”

He snapped the book shut. “Then let me just buy it.”

You looked him over with a closer eye. It wasn’t just the way he was slapped together or how his long hair fell in his face that seemed odd. There was something else off about Ben Barclay you wouldn’t put your finger on. Maybe it was the way he was standing, or that it was early in the morning. Maybe he hadn’t had coffee yet, or perhaps he had too much coffee. But he looked nervous, and as long as you had known ben Barclay, he had never been nervous.

You sighed. “Wait for me to discuss it with my boss. I might be able to sell it to you before the book sale in summer. For now it’s yours, don’t worry about it.”

Ben smoothed his hand across the cover, gazing at it for a moment before taking a step closer to the counter. “Why would the library get rid of it?”

You tilted your head to the side. “It’s old. Pages are damaged, it’s drawn on, all sorts of things.”

“So you looked at it?” He asked.

You nodded. “I was curious as to what the big deal was. So I looked it over a little. I remembered reading it in high school just before that wordsmith contest, remember? The big one Mrs. Hanson had us all do?”

Ben swallowed and nodded. “You won it.”

A smile came to your lips. “Yeah well, I checked this book out to get inspired. I just barely remembered that until I saw a picture in it. You were looking for a certain story in it, right?”

“Yeah. Nothing special really.” He tucked the book under his arm. “Thanks. See you around.”

“Later days,” I sighed as he left. More people started coming in so I didn’t have much time to think about it anyways.

Since you had the early shift that day you got off early. You did a few quick errands then headed home. As you pulled up to your house you saw something a bit strange. There was upturned earth and tore up bushes stacked neatly in lines around your porch. As you got out of your car, you saw they were blackberry bushes and they were being planted around your home and in front of the porch.

You turned, and standing as still as a deer in the headlights was Ben holding a shovel. Even more dishelved than when you saw him early that morning. He looked at you. You looked at him. You both stared for what felt like minutes before he threw his hands up into the air.

“What are you doing home so early?” He scolded.

“I worked the early shift, you saw me!” You snapped back at him. “What are you doing to my yard?”

Ben raised up three fingers. “You have three guess.”

You looked around then flapped your arms out. “The weirdest fucking prank I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Ben dropped a finger. “Two gusses.”

You just stared at him, completely confused but somehow understanding everything. “Rowan fucking lied to me.”

“What?”

You clenched your jaw and considered biting down upon your tongue. “He said that it was cute who was courting me. Him and Adam!”

Ben frowned. “Why would they say it’s cute?”

“Why are you digging up my yard?”

“Because you weren’t suppose to catch me!” Ben dropped the shovel he was holding and came up to you. “Because I was trying to recreate that picture, from that book. The one you wrote the poem about.”

You stared again. “The poem from the wordsmith competition?”

Ben just glared down at you.

“I need to sit.” You walked over to your porch and sat down upon the stairs. You held your head in your hands and tried to sort out which thing to focus on.

Ben sat down beside you, looking out over the bushes he had yet to plant. “You weren’t supposed to come home until late. I even checked with Rowan about it.”

“First mistake,” you murmured.

Ben leaned back upon the stairs and exhaled loudly. “I wanted to be able to write like you so badly. I was so…jealous of how good you were. Everytime you read a book, I read it too. Every time you suggested music, I listened to it. I wanted to know how you got so good. Then you wrote that poem for wordsmith about the wolf looking for shelter-” He laid his head back and looked up at the sky. “You had a voice I didn’t.”

“So you’re courting me?”

Ben sat back up and met your eyes, holding them for a long time. “I’m courting you because the moment I saw you again I felt it. I’ll write you poetry every damn day if I have to. But it’s only because deep down inside me I am crying out for you.”

Your heart pulsed like it did that night you saw him outside the door.

“Was I shocked it was you. Of course! Did I know it all along, I probably did. But high school isn’t for knowing what’s right. It took me a long time to come back, and it’s scares me I never leave again because of you. But I also know I never want to do anything without you.”

“Wow,” you blurted out.

He glared at you. “I’ll clean up and leave. You probably want to be alone.” He stood up and stomped out to the shovel, bending over to pick it up, his jeans ripped. He stood there, cursing quietly in French.

You cupped your hand over your mouth, trying to keep from laughing. “Come inside. Please?”

He glanced back at you with a grimace, but he followed you inside. You had him sit down at the tiny kitchen table as you ground some coffee beans.

“Are you upset that its me?” he grumbled.

“Who says I’m upset?” You dumped the coffee grounds into the coffee maker. “I’m surprised but I’m not upset. I thought we were mortal enemies.”

“We still can be,” Ben scoffed.

You added water then turned on the coffee pot. “I also had given up the idea of ever being courted. Having lived here all my life, I always thought it would happen. But when it didn’t I just figured it wasn’t meant for everyone.”

“I wasn’t here so-” Ben closed his mouth and pressed his lips tight together.

You sat down across from him at the table and tried to wait out the uncomfortable silence resonating between you. Ben leaned back in his chair, some of his hair fell before his face and he huffishly tried to push it back. His foot tapped yours under the table and then he quickly recoiled it back and changed his posture in the chair.

“Were you really going to plant a shit ton of blackberry bushes just to reenact an image from an old book?” You faced him again, rather than staring down at your hands.

“And your poem. I thought it would be…romantic. But I also thought you’d find it a little annoying.” He smirked.

You studied that smirk. “Is that why you kept putting everyone on my car?”

Ben leaned on the table a bit. “I said I wanted you, that doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep you on your toes. That’s not how we work. Tell me you wouldn’t do the same if you were in my shoes.”

You laughed. “I can’t argue with that I guess.”

Ben’s smirk turned into a soft smile. “I never expected to come home and instantly just fall. Getting that sense, that urge, it hit me like a ton of bricks.” he took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. “It felt like you ran me over.”

“Rowan said it was like knowing every secret about himself. He never mentioned anything about getting run over.”

Ben chuckled. “I guess it’s different for everyone. But I get what Rowan is saying too. As soon as you scent hit me, I knew who I was looking for. I knew everything and nothing in that moment. And all this time, ever since I saw you again, all I have wanted was to just somehow see you. Every day at the store I wanted to see you walk in. And when you did I just wanted to wag my tail in excitement.”

“Oh boy,” you murmured. “And what about now? I mean, you’re in my house and everything.”

Ben’s pupils grew bigger and he looked out the window. “I don’t know if I should say. You might slap me.”

“I’ve always wanted to that regardless,” you teased.

“I want you,” Ben spoke low. “I’m sure you can put that together.”

The coffee pot beeped when it was finished, making a gurgling bubbling sound as the last of the water ran out. You glanced aside, heart hammering as you knew exactly what he meant.

“You wanna mark your territory on everything?” You asked.

Ben broke down and laughed, looking at you with bright eyes and a charming smile. He grinned and reached out across the table. He took your hands and kissed your knuckles in probably the most romantic display that had been done to you.

“I want to mark you,” he murmured onto your fingers. “Over, and over, and over, and over, until you beg me stop.”

Your face was a tomato when his dark eyes emet yours. “Fucking hell.”

Ben turned your hand over and kissed your wrist, inhaling your scent.  “Aren’t you going to offer me coffee?”

You swallowed, but your throat was so tight it was almost impossible. “How do you take it?”

“Black.” Ben was slow to release your hand.

“S-same as me. Cool.” You tripped as you stood up.You took out an extra mug and poured the coffee into both. The hairs on the back of your neck stood on end and then you felt Ben breathing.

You held your breath, standing still as ben placed his hands upon your waist. His lips brushed against the nape of your neck and they slightly parted. You ducked your head and bit your lip. His hands pushed up your shirt and his fingers grazed against your bare skin.

“Tell me to stop,” he whispered. “Because if you don’t, I’ll do just as I please. I’ll take your breath away and never give it back.”

You opened your mouth to say something, but your voice didn’t come out.

Ben’s mouth grazed along the side of your neck. “Do you want me to mark you?”

Closing your eyes you knew the only thing you could do was nod.

Ben chuckled into your ear, nipping the lobe as he came closer. “Don’t worry, I’m still the big bad wolf where it counts. I won’t be all simpering puppy for you.” He turned you around, kissing you passionately. He stripped of his coat and quickly returned to kissing you and holding you.

You turned your head to breathe and he bit down upon your neck, tugging down your shirt to bite and kiss your shoulder. “Where should we go?”

You pointed to the hallway beside the fridge and Ben picked you up, throwing you over his shoulder. He carried you down the hallway and too your bedroom, which you were a bit ashamed was a mess.

Ben threw you down upon the bed, stripping off his shirt then unbuckling his jeans. You sat up, pushing pillows aside so you could see him. Ben took down his hair, letting it fall around his face and shoulders.

He licked his lips and gave you a seductive grin. “I have so many things I want to do to you, I don’t know where to start.” He kentl down upon the bed. “I guess I’ll just eat you.” He went under the comforter and tugged at your ankles, pulling you underneath. Before you knew it, he had your pants off then his head was between your thighs. You whimpered as he bit and kissed, making his ways to your panties where he kissed and nuzzled the fabric.

“Black panties, naughty girl,” he growled.

You reached down, feeling his hair, his fur. His ears had become sharp and pointed as well as fuzzy. His tongue pressed against your underwear and you whimpered. His tongue felt hot through the fabric and your body responded with a happy holt through your limbs.

Ben pushed aside the fabric and growled. “Delicious little thing.” He kissed and licked, pushing his tongue into your folds and snarling with pleasure. He slurped and snarled, sounding messy and wet, but it felt so good.

“Ben-” You gasped. “That’s…oh fuck-”

He chuckled, and that low rumble only added to the delicious sensation. “Fuck you say?” Be rose up under the blanket and it fell aside. He towered over you, covered in dark fur, but his eyes were a glittering gold. He grinned as he looked upon you and he dragged his hands down your body.

“I’m not just going to fuck you.” He gathered your legs and pushed them back. “I’m going to earn you.”

You tried to peer down between your legs at him, but he moved in close so you could only feel him. Something warm and hard laid against you.

“I can see that look in your eyes,” he chuckled. “Am I going to be enough man for you? Silly girl.” Ben stepped away from you, walking to the side of the bed and holding his cock in his hand.

You sat up and took hold of it. It fit in your hand, but it was heavy and quite long. You stroked it and Ben moaned above you.

“You’re lucky I’m not all man,” Ben murmured. “Will I be enough for you?”

You swallowed. “Probably.”

Ben pushed you back down onto the bed, climbing on top of you then pushing your hands above your head. His fingers rubbed you below, slipping inside then rubbing to your clit.

“Judging from your expression, I don’t think anyone else has made you feel half this way. Am I right?”

You shook your head. “Considering only my vibrator has ever made me come-”

Ben clicked his tongue. “Shame. But I won’t fault the vibrator. We might even become friends.” You felt him press against you. “But I won’t rest until you beg me to.” He was deep inside you in a moment. You gasped then clamped around him. Inside he felt hot and he stretched you ever so slightly.

Ben showed his teeth and bent his back as he grinded himself inside you. “Your pussy feels so fucking good.”

You gulp and turn your head to the side, trying to breathe. “Thank you?”

Ben laughed, moving his hips and watching you beneath him. “You can thank me later.” He pushed inside deep again, growling low in his throat. He moved slowly, gaining speed and going hard then slowing his pace again.

Already he was out performing the vibrator.

Ben was taking his time, savoring you and studying you. Every move he made he learned from it, changing it slightly to suit you and your desires. He kissed and held you, cradling you to his chest as he drove up from behind you. It felt more like worshiping than anything, but you didn’t think of it until later. Not until your mind cleared and your toes uncurled.

You laid in bed, breathing hard and still trembling from little after shocks. Ben pulled himself from you and his seed spilled upon your breasts and belly. He watched for a moment, drinking you before he used his shirt to wipe you clean.

He laid down beside you, placing his hand upon your belly as you both melted back into reality.

“So, how was it?”

You swallowed and nodded. “Pretty good.”

Ben laughed and he pulled you into his arms. He kissed and bit your lip until you returned it.

“I’ve never…come like that,” you murmured.

“Because I know what the hell I’m doing.” Ben nuzzled your hair and sighed. “I never felt that way before either.”

“I still can’t believe it’s you,” you murmured.

Ben chuckled. “Get used to it. Because now I’m going to be even more annoying to you than before.” he tickled you and kissed your neck. “You’re my mate.”

“You’re mine,” you moaned.

Ben chuckled. “That turned me on so much.”

You held him close, cupping the back of his head in your hand. “You have such a way with words.”
