Where do I start on this...

I have absolutely no idea if these characters are known outside of french-speaking countries...But let me assure you, these characters are LEGENDARY.

These are Gaston Lagaffe and Mrs. Jeanne, stars of the Gaston Lagaffe series of funny books, created by Franquin ( who was also the artist that defined Spirou and birthed the Marsupilami, which was later ruined by Disney :P ). The guy was simply a genius with a pencil, and I doubt that, even if I were to do this full time for another 20 years, I'd ever get close to his talent.

Mrs. Jeanne is a cute, librarian-type character for a cartoon world. For some reason, she popped into my head at the start of the weekend, and I decided to try and do her justice by not only drawing her, making her as hot as I could, but I also tried to keep the essence of the original drawing style while still doing it my way ( the same kind of approach I had to the Cartoon Carwash ).

I think I nailed it.
