Thoughts going forward + August Preview!

Hello everyone! 

I've been getting a few questions regarding the pin club going forward, so I wanted to take an opportunity to let you all know my stance on things regarding the recent news about Blizzard.

To be clear, I stand with any victims, past & present and I hope they can find some peace and justice at some point. Their stories are heartbreaking and its very clear some changes need to be made within the company and industry as a whole. Activision Blizzard's response to the allegations has left a very sour note, and I don't feel right supporting the company. For the first time in nearly 17 years, I cancelled my sub (though it is still locked in until December). I just can't in good conscience continue to spend my money there right now. Hopefully there will be some changes in the future, I'll be waiting to see how this all resolved.

To all my friends that still work there, and those that continue to make the games we've all grown up with, I support YOU. My pins/art are a love letter to you and all that you do. There are still so many amazing wonderful people that work at Blizzard. I still love the games, I still love the characters, and treasure all the positive memories and friends I've made over the years.

For now, I'll continue my Blizzard pin series at least until the end of this year. There are so many more designs I'd like to do, but I feel like now isn't the best time to do them. It feels weird right now to be a creator whose livelihood is based around these games. I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but I intend to keep moving forward and into new things. Its not my intention to make this whole thing about me and worrying how my business is going to be affected, so I'm trying to keep it short.

If you still want to see Blizzard based pins and stick around, awesome! If you want to step away from all things Blizzard and no longer want WoW pins, that's totally cool too (and hey, you can always switch to my Teaberry tier instead! 😉) I appreciate everyone's support and love for my art and pins, I really wouldn't be here without you.

That being said.. here's the August preview!

Teaberry tier.. Mystery Carbuncles!

I've been wanting to do a carbuncle pin for a while now, and I felt now would be the perfect time to dig this out. These will be random mystery pins for all those in the Teaberry and Deluxe tiers!  

 Unfortunately production costs and international shipping is super high right now, so I couldn't order as many as I wanted. I ended up only ordering 100 of each to save on costs and stay under budget for this month. I initially mentioned in Discord I'd let Deluxe tier patrons pick the color they wanted.. but since I was unable to order as many I didn't want to risk one color being favored more over the others. So we'll have to let luck decide! There should be plenty of extras in the secret shop though if anyone wants to collect the other colors - or you could trade them with people in Discord as well! ^.^ I plan on reordering these in the future if they sell out too, so don't worry too much about not being able to grab the one you want.

Kael rounds out my Burning Crusade mini set! He's meant to go along with Illidan (May), Maiev (July) and Vashj (May 2020).  

8 pins in this year and only 2 of them are NOT elves of some sort.. 😂 I'm not sorry about it at all, should we add in another in September for good measure??
