CYOA Part Four: The Minotaur
Added 2021-12-14 15:27:50 +0000 UTCEvander was more than happy to pick you up. He arrived just as you were checking out, his massive red pick up truck was like something from a farmer fantasy.
“Thanks again,” you said as you opened up the door. You jumped in order to throw yourself onto the seat. The truck was just a bit too big for you.
Evander reached out, taking your hand and helping you heave yourself inside. “I’m off the next couple of days, so I’m looking for things to do.”
You plopped down in the comfy seat and smile to yourself. “I promise I won’t bother you too much. You’re just the only person I kind of know here.”
Evander’s smile was as soft as his long curls. “Once you get settled it’ll be hard to not meet new friends. Can I have the address?”
“Oh, right.” You took out Luke’s note, trying to avoid the bulk of the letter. “It’s on Blue Corn road.”
“I know where that is. A friend of mine lives down that way.” Evander pulled out of the parking lot.
You sank back into the seat, attempting to keep your heavy sigh quiet. You looked out the window, watching downtown go by your window. All the shops looked so perfect, so neat and purposeful. The people walking by seemed to fit in too.
“Everything alright?” Evander asked.
“Kind of,” you murmured.
Evander’s bottom lip curled into his mouth and he chewed for a second. “Did you and your fella leave on good terms?”
You pushed yourself up in the seat from slouching. “I really don’t want to sound like an episode of Friends, but we’re on a break.”
“Oh,” he exclaimed sofly.
“Yeah,” you pouted.
Evander glanced from the corner of his eyes at you then back to the road. “I know that we’re virtually strangers, but if you need to talk and vent about it-”
“I couldn’t do that. You’ve been so nice.” You turn and smile at him. “But…he never told me he had a house out here. He never even told me about this place.”
Evander’s brow furrowed.
“That’s kind of why we’re…god, on a break,” you rolled your eyes at the words. “Because he wouldn’t tell me anything that-” You lurched in your seat as Evander suddenly braked.
“What’s wrong?” You gasped.
“Oh nothing! Just old Remi out and about.” Evander got out of the truck.
You looked out over the dash and saw the biggest black goat you had ever seen outside your dreams. Your stomach fell into a deep, dark pit as this goat strutted around Evander who was trying to pick him up.
The goat in your dream was running through your mind while this one was just allowed to exist freely in the world! You watched him closely, worried the thing might tear Evander limb from limb.
But Evander picked up the beast like he was a kitten. He then placed the goat into the back of the truck before climbing back in.
You stared at the goat through the rear window, and he stared back at you. The only difference between it and the one in your dreams was the fact it wasn’t talking, but also because it had pure blue eyes.
“Remi belongs to a friend of mine, but he tends to think he owns the whole town,” Evander laughed. “You can find him everywhere and anywhere here in Hearthway Hollow.”
You were afraid to look away from the goat. Because in that split second he could perform highway robbery and then a bloody massacre. You were in the woods, it wasn’t so far fetched.
“You okay?” Evander asked.
You turned slightly away to look at Evander. “I have a slight mistrust of goats.”
Remi bleated then and you reached for Evander’s arm for protection.
Evander’s cheeks brightened and his smile grew. “Remi’s a sweetheart! Unless you’re an asshole. But i think you’d be one of Remi’s women.”
“What?” You balked.
“Remi has a harem,” Evander laughed. “Women in town he protects and likes to visit. His owners, Beau and Shauna, they’re like his parents so he’s extra protective of them, especially since they have two boys now. But he goes about to visit his harem, get treats, some pets, and in return he’ll attack anyone who even looks at them wrong. He’s like the best guard dog in the world.”
You looked back into Remi’s blue eyes and he nudged his head on the window.
“How come you don’t like goats?” Evander asked.
“It’s a long, weird story,” you mumbled.
Evander turned and looked down at you. “I’d love to hear it.”
You sighed and turned back around in your seat. Just as you were getting the nerve to tell him your nightmare you saw a mailbox ahead with the address you were looking for.
“Wait, that’s it,” you gasped.
Evander’s brows lifted. “Oh wow. That is a coincidence. My friend Mero lives right next door.”
Luke had mentioned a Mero in the letter. As you pulled into the driveway, Remi began running around in the back of the truck.
“We’ll be right back, buddy,” Evander coaxed as he got your things.
You walked up to the house with the key in hand, staring at the periwinkle blue house Luke had kept hidden from you. It looked old and out of date but well cared for. As you unlocked the front door Remi yelled from the truck and made you flinch. You dropped the key.
“Careful.” Evander bent down and picked the key up for you.
You sighed and smile thankfully at him, unlocking the door and turning the knob.
Remi yelled again, this time making you and Evander turn back around. To your surprise, Ebal was standing there, trying to pet Remi. but the goat was having none of it.
Evander growled. “What the fuck is he doing here?”
Ebal turned and waved. “Hello neighbors!”
“What does that mean?” Evander huffed.
“I’ve been staying with Mero lately,” Ebal laughed.
You decided to go on inside and look around, Evander could deal with this. You placed your bags down in the entrance where the vinyl of the mudroom turned into a worn hardwood floor. The kitchen was mostly wood, looking straight out of time. But the whole place smelled like Luke.
There was a note on the fridge, held by a watermelon magnet. It was Luke’s handwriting again.
“I got everything turned back on for you. You’ve got well water, but sometimes the water heater is finicky. I laid out some new sheets for you on the bed, don’t know how long the others have been there. Mero knows you’re coming so I have her some things to pass on to you as well. If you need anything just ask her.” He then wrote down her number under that.
Evander walked in just as you were finishing the note. “I can’t believe Mero is friends with that asshole.” He then saw your expression and went quiet. He approached gingerly, reaching out and placing his big hand on your back. His touch was warm and you needed that bit of comfort.
“It looks like you’ve got a pretty nice place. I wish my trailer looked anything like this.” He chuckled, hoping to reassure you.
“It’s not the house,” you muttered. “This whole place smells like him. It makes me miss him.”
Evander’s hand rubbed your back in slow, soft circles. “Maybe Mero has some candles or room spray you could borrow.”
You turned and laid your head you his chest, breathing in his earthy scent rather than Luke’s for a second.
“I don’t know the exact details, but I can tell you still really care for him.” Evander put both arms around you. “Even if you’re hurting like crazy.”
You sniffled, breaking so easily in Evander’s arms. “He won’t tell me anything. This house. This town…that’s not even the start!”
Evander’s embrace tightened and he remained silent.
“I don’t know what Luke is doing. I keep thinking he’s cheating on me. But then he does all these nice things and I think-” You pressed your face into Evander’s chest as the tears came.
“I can tell you about Luke.”
Evander turned with a scowl on his face. “What the hell are you doing in here?”
Ebal smirked, strutting forward into the kitchen. He held up a bag in his hand. “Mero told me if someone stopped by today to deliver this. A care package for the new neighbor. She apologizes for not being here herself today, but she had a doctor’s appointment.”
You lifted your head and started to move from Evander. “You know Luke?”
Ebal’s smirk grew. “I know him very intimately.”
You stepped out in front of Evander. In the diner the two had passed one another, Luke had looked bothered by Ebal, but you figured it was for the same reasons you had. But the more you thought about it, Luke seemed really shaken by Ebal, you just hadn’t noticed at the time with everything going on.
You nodded. “You’re the ex.”
Ebal licked the sharp edges of his teeth. “He ever talked about me, did he?” He passed the bag into your hands. “Such a Luke thing to do.” He strolled into the kitchen, looking around with a nostalgic smile. “Aside from the bull here, everything is exactly as I remember it. The place even stinks like him still.”
You were still trying to wrap your head around it. “I knew Luke was bi but-”
“You didn’t realize he had a type?” Ebal smacked his ass playfully then giggled mischievously.
“Are you just here to cause shit?” Evander asked defensively. He placed his hand upon your shoulder and squeezed.
Ebal’s smile faded and he turned. “No. I came to deliver Mero’s care package as well as speak to a kindred spirit.” His eyes fell upon you and he grinned. “We have a lot in common, and I think we could be friends.”
You frowned, unsure how to respond.
“She’s going through a lot right now, Ebal. She doesn’t need a dick like you hanging around.”
Ebal’s grin turned jubilant. “I think dick is exactly what she does need right now. But that is not the service I came to offer her. We both have a common link, and as I understand it, she’s looking for answers.”
“Not right now,” you huffed. “But maybe later.”
Ebal shrugged, licking his lips. “I figured you would need time to think it over.” He patted the top of your head as he walked by, then seductively dragged his fingers along Evander’s arm.
“But when you are ready, I am very eager to get to know you.” Ebal left, closing the door behind him. You then heard him scream as Remi bleated.
“Good, Remi’s taken you in,” Evander growled.
You were starting to feel warm so you took off your sweater. “I hate that I do want to talk to him though.”
“Ebal’s trouble, I’m shocked your fella went for that.” Evander rubbed the back of his neck.
“Once again, Luke never told me anything. Just that his previous ex was a little wild for him.” You snarled. You stomped back through the house, looking for the bathroom.
“I know you must be upset-” Evander tried to soothe you.
You slammed a closet door shut and gripped your hands around your head. “I’m sick of it! We used to talk so much in the beginning! But now it’s like I’m trying to squeeze a stone. I’m so frustrated I’m so…”
Evander’s hand pulling your own from your hair sent a wave of sparks down through your body. You felt hotter than before, the room almost felt steamy.
“I would tell you everything.” Evander swallowed and kept his hand in yours. “I mean-” He looked away then back. “Not to sound weird…but I totally did, didn’t I?”
You smiled. “It was nice. Kind of the words I’ve longed to hear,” you giggled.
Evander’s smile turned shy. “I’m an oversharer. It’s not hard to get me to talk.” His cheeks reddened. “I mean, even in bed I-” he looked away, cupping his hand over his mouth. “There I go again.”
You smiled, finding it refreshing. “It’s okay. Uhm, it feels kind of hot in here. Maybe I should open a window.” You went into the next room which was the master bedroom. You opened a window, and the cold air made your skin prickle.
“It really is a nice place,” Evander said from the doorway. “It looks like you can work comfortably here.”
“I hope so. I’ll probably go and buy a hundred candles tomorrow though.” You fanned out your shirt, letting cold air down your chest. Your body felt strange, but not in a way that was unfamiliar. Every so often this same exact feeling would come over you and you wouldn’t feel normal until you were satisfied.
“I’ll be happy to take you shopping,” Evander offered.
You looked him over, drinking him in and feeling overly aware of every inch of his body. You knew better than to think like this, but once you got into this state it was hard to think rationally. It was how you first met Luke after all. You saw him at a friend’s party and nothing could tell you otherwise.
“I’d like that, Evander, thank you.” You wanted to tell him to leave, but you felt drawn to inch closer to him.
Evander swallowed, his eyes looked hazy and lidded. “I should probably make sure Remi doesn’t kill Ebal and take him back to the farm.” His argument though was weak.
“Is he far from home?” You asked.
He shook his head. “It’s just down the road.”
You didn’t realize how close you were to Evander until you took hold of his hand. His fingers were thick and stubby, covered in burns scars from cooking. Your mind was blank, you weren’t thinking at all, rather you were being controlled by that deep, dark desire.
“I should…” Evander cleared his throat. “I really should uhm…” He couldn’t hold a thought in his head. “I feel like something is about to happen. Maybe we should go outside…get some water or-”
“Or?”
“I don’t…I don’t want to prove Ebal right.”
You smiled. “I don’t know what’s come over me. I’m sorry,” you giggled.
“No, no. I’m sorry too! I’m feeling out of my own head.” Evander rubbed the back of his neck. “I mean, I keep thinking about your books. All my favorite scenes run through my head. I can’t stop thinking about them, or about the woman who wrote them.”
You held your breath in anticipation.
“You’re so cute and sweet, and I hate thinking of you hurting. But I also can’t stop just…thinking at all.”
“I can’t either,” you confessed. “You’re like a big cuddly mountain.”
Evander blushed.
“I don’t want Ebal to be right either,” you pouted. “But I think he is. I think I need to…to work out some frustration against Luke.”
“I did say I’d be happy to help you if you needed me.” Evander’s hand rested on your hip. “But I feel like I’d be the one benefitting so-”
You held your breath again. “You’re so sweet, Evander.”
Evander dipped his head down, kissing your forehead then temple. His hand brushed against your cheek then slowly combed through your hair. You turned your head slightly, meeting his lips and kissing him. You moaned softly as his fingers dug into your hips, pulling you closer to him. You pressed your palms into his chest, balling up his shirt between your fingers.
Evander pulled back, a drip of saliva connecting your lips. “May I eat your pussy?”
It was a shocking question. Not only that he had the guts to say it, but that he phrased it so politely. “I’d be a fool to say no.”
Evander smiled, kissing you again. He took you over to the bed, laying you out upon it. He tugged down your jeans, pulling the off then folding them neatly over the headboard. He pulled you to the edge, resting your legs over his shoulders. He kissed and kneaded your thighs, his long tongue pressing over your panties.
You breathed out slowly, watching Evander as he worked his magic. He rubbed the crotch of your panties, finding an eager wet squish behind them.
“I get really wet. It’s a little messy,” you confessed shyly.
“All the better,” Evander moaned. “I like it wet.” His eyes flicked up to you as he rubbed his fingers against you. “You’re so soft and wet, how can I not be excited.”
Your face was burning hot.
Evander kissed your thigh. “So sweet. Your expression is enough to drive me crazy.” He turned his head, kissing and moaning against your mound. “Your panties are so cute too.”
You swallowed and pressed your lips together. “R-really?”
“May I see what’s under them?” There he went, being shockingly polite again.
You nodded, begging with your mind for him to do so.
Evander gently pushed your panties aside, his fingers briefly touching your dripping folds. He stared for a second, smile brightening then his bit his lip.
“You’re perfect,” he growled.
Tingles shot up your spine.
“This color is like a flower.” His fingers pressed against you then spread you open. “Better yet, a delicious fruit.”
You squirmed only to be held still by his strong grip.
“You’re so beautiful. So tempting-” He pressed kisses to your mound, soft and fluttering, enough for you to feel, but not enough for you to feel relief.
“Evander,” you whimpered.
He chuckled. “Sorry. I’m just…I can’t explain how excited I am. Not just because I love such works of art. But because I get to touch it.”
You squeaked and placed your hand in his hair.
“I like that,” he groaned. “Your soft hands-”
You had to remind yourself to breathe. “You’re amazing,” you cooed.
Evander looked into your eyes and then he dove in. His lips, his tongue, they found your softs spots with ease. You cried out, pulling his hair and making him moan. His vibrations traveled through you and into your spine which melted.
“You’re so good!” You whined.
Evader reached up, pushing his hand under your shirt. His warm palm against your skin made you shudder. Mixing it with his tongue upon your clit turned you to putty.
Evander lifted up to breathe, his chin and mouth soaking wet. “I can’t get enough of you. I can’t wait to feel you come.” He dove back in, suckling you clit as his fingers rubbed your folds.
You threw your head back, pulling his curls as your body began to twist. Your thighs trapped his head and your toes curled tightly. Everything felt so strong, so powerful. Then his fingers pushed inside.
You cried out and threw yourself into the bed, whimpering pitfully as Evander’s fingers curled. You looked down, thinking you saw horns coming from the top of his head. You threw back again though as he took control, pulling from you something deep, hot, and overwhelming.
You crowed and vibrating, your body rocking against the bed as Evander made you come. He didn’t stop, not giving you a moment and prolonging your release. You squeezed your thighs tight around his head, panting, whining, writhing.
You slipped from reality, falling against the bed and breathing hard. You closed your eyes and shuddered, cupping your hands around your face as Evander rose from the floor.
“Good girl,” he moaned. “You’ve made me so happy.” He kissed your legs, your belly. He snuggled his face into your side. “Making you come like that…I’ve never felt so powerful.”
You looked up, thinking once agains you saw horns at the top of his head. You reached down, stroking the front of his pants.
“Are you sure?” Evander moaned.
You nodded. “It’s too late to stop now.” You smiled shyly up at him. His long curls covered his face, but it still looked like he had horns. “I’ve kind of had a crush since I met you.”
Evander kissed you as he crawled onto the bed. “Me too, even before I knew you were my favorite author.”
You threw your arms around his neck. “You’re so cute.”
His expression turned shy. “I’ve never been called that before.” Evander pulled down his pants.
“You are.” You stored your hands down the back of his neck. “You have the most angelic face. But you have such a strong, massive body.”
Evander grunted and you felt his cock upon your belly.
“Huge,” you panted.
“You’re so soft,” he panted.
You pulled him closer, kissing him as his cock rubbed into your flesh. He felt thick and heavy, and you grew excited to feel him inside you.
“Ebal called you a bull, I think he’s right.” You kissed his ear and neck, biting softly.
“I should tell you-” He wheezed. “It’s not far off uhm-” His hands trembled as he took hold of his shaft.
You pet down his back. “Tell me what?”
“Do you believe in monsters?” Evander whispered into your ear.
You looked into his eyes, seeing a slight change. “I know something about them,” you confessed.
“What do you know?”
You kissed him. “I know I’m about to fuck one.”
Evander buried his face into your neck, sliding his thick cock inside you. He stretched you open, going still so you could feel every inch of him.
“You’re going to make me come,” Evander moaned into your ear. “But I want so badly to take my time with you.”
You for sure saw horns now. You reached up, grabbing hold of one. Evander yanked his head, rising up above you. His long curls covered his face, but you could see the mighty minotaur poised above you.
You nodded up at him, gazing longingly. “You’re magnificent,” you breathed.
Evander moved his hips, going slow as he watched you. His hair was still strawberry, but his body had turned mottled red and white velvet. He stroked his hand down your bare chest, watching you, studying you as you didn’t seem to be shocked by his appearance.
“You’re too good to be true.” His hands gripped around your hips. “You right about the otherside as though you know it.”
You trembled, arching your back as Evander went deeper. “Fucking hell your huge!”
Evander grunted, urged by her words. “Is that a good thing?”
“Yes,” you moaned. “I’ve never had someone so thick before.”
Evander drove in harder. “I was worried, but my god, you’re wonderful.” His hips slapped against your rear. “I’ve never felt like this before.”
“Keep going! Please!” You gasped for breath as Evander drove on. His powerful thrusts shook you and the bed. When your head bumped into the headboard you knew it wouldn’t be much longer.
Evander was moaning and panting, trying to keep composure to last just a moment longer. He bucked his hips and threw his head back.
“I’m coming,” he moaned. “You’re making me come!”
“Yes! Yes-” you whined. “Evander! Oh my god, Evander!” Your head hit into the headboard, but it didn’t matter. You couldn’t feel anything except him.
Evander fell on top of you, kissing you as he rut deep. You locked your legs around him, holding him tight. One last push, one last breath, and it was there. Evander whined and strained, burying his face into your hair.
You were dizzy for a while, but eventually clarity and your senses returned. You felt amazing and enjoyed every moment of it, but you worried you had gone too far.
Evander whimpered as he pulled from you. “Sorry, I couldn’t-”
“I wanted you to,” you confessed. “It felt-”
“Yeah,” Evander whispered. “I didn’t want it to end.”
You held him in your arms, stroking his velvety soft fur. “I don’t know what came over me.”
“It’s okay. I think we both got a little over our heads.” Evander rolled to the side, laying on his belly. He turned his head, his horns catching sunlight from the window. “How did you know what I was?”
“I told you, it’s a long, weird story.” You rested into the bare bed. “A long time ago, my mother was rescued by this carnival. Just before I was born.”
Evander placed his hand upon your hip. “No wonder your books feel so real.”
You smiled at him. “I may have to use you for inspiration now.” You touched his cheek, moving his hair away from his eyes. “You’re stunning.”
He smiled shyly. “You’re making me blush.”
“You made me blush the whole time,” you giggled. “You really were a talker. But I liked it.”
“I told you. I over share. Especially when I’m overpowered like that.” He pulled you in to snuggle. “Even when I was inside you, I kept hoping I’d get to be with you again and again. I want you still, I want more. I’ve never felt this way.”
“I feel like I only used you though,” you sighed. “Just to get back at Luke.”
Evander pouted. “Did you?”
You shook your head. “I do like you, and I would like to do this again but…better? Like maybe dinner or something. Maybe a little more fooling around.”
Evander grinned. “I’d like that.” He kissed you softly. “I’ll be right back. I’ve gotta use the bathroom, and then we can talk.”
“About what?” Youa sked.
Evander stood up and smiled down at you. “Anything and everything.”
You sighed dreamily as you sank back into the bed. You then stood up, searching for the sheets Luke had laid out. Hopefully there was a comforter and pillows too. You put on Evander’s shirt, breathing in his scent and feeling giddy from head to toe.
In the closet there was a winter comforter in a storage container, as well as some overstuffed pillows. As you pulled out the comforter, something inside fell out. There was a strange looking dagger, one that was old and covered in strange writing. The blade was still sharp and there was a heat coming off the blade.
You then saw Remi staring at you from the doorway.
You stared back, too afraid to move.
“Don’t let that fucking demon back in this house!” Remi yelled.
Everything seemed to shut down. “What?”
Remi stomped forward. “That demon! Don’t let him back inside!”
“How about a shwoer?”
You turned around to look up at Evander who was smiling. When he saw your expression he stepped out from the bathroom.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“The goat!” You pointed to the door, but Remi was nowhere to be seen.
Evander furrowed his brow. “Did you hear Remi or something?”
You swallowed and stood up. “Sort of.”
Evander sighed. “Maybe I should go and make sure he’s okay. I can take care of him then go get something for us to eat. Sound good?”
You were still in a state of shock. “I uh-”
Evander smiled. “I’ll just need my shirt back.”
