Added 2025-02-04 21:21:18 +0000 UTCSo it's been a couple of weeks since seeing episode 2 so I'll be honest, it took me a sweet minute to remember what had happened however, it didn't take long to get right back into it. This is how good these are! It's also confirmed, Jinx is my favourite. I think I'm in love with the Voice Actress too because her delivery is so, so good. She was also great in the Fallout TV show but in this, she fits the character perfectly, loving the breathy delivery of dialogue, marvellous.

2025-02-05 09:56:32 +0000 UTCAs an Arcane fan that has never played league (or know any of the lore) I don't believe you are missing out on anything important story-wise. The guild merchant Amara was briefly seen in season 1 as a cameo, but came out of nowhere as a witch in this episode. Up to this point, the red bramble magic is completely new to the story. As for Jinx's eyes, in season 1 she was operated on by Silco's doctor when she nearly died. He used shimmer during the operation to keep Jinx alive. Shimmer is the purple fluid that the undercity got addicted to like a drug because it gave them physical strength and speed. Shimmer was a big point of focus in season 1 because the doctor (Singed) was the one who created it back then, which will be information important to remember going forward. Great reaction, I'd always vouch for a rewatch of season 1 because it is phenomenal, but it is completely understandable if you don't have the time. Hopefully the clarifications I gave helped refresh your memory of it. That way you don't end an episode wondering if there is something you are missing.

That's Singed, the scientist working for Silco previously and the one who created the purple shimmer drug. Why does Jinx have super speed? In season 1 she almost died and had to have a major operation which basically involved pumping her body with loads of shimmer! So she gets the benefits like strength, speed etc.
