Maya Says Hi
Added 2018-08-02 13:07:19 +0000 UTCI've had a couple of requests for updates on Maya. Somehow, unbelievably, almost three years have come and gone since she first came along. I've just uploaded a video to YouTube from around that time that I had sitting on my hard drive. Here she is just starting to sit up and notice her environment (either that or she was just falling asleep with her eyes open):

Some of you who've been around a while might remember me sharing updates about her as I was nervously, frantically trying to navigate the itty-bitty-bean-orphan-bottle-baby obstacle course.
I just want to reiterate my gratitude for the support I had from you then. Without it - if I had still been working my day job - I would not have been able to be at home giving her all of the care and attention she needed. I don't know what I would have done or where she would have ended up.
As you can see, she has greatly elongated since that time. She has also grown up to be my sweet little friend (and a total brat), and I'm so glad to have her around. So...thank you.

Wow she grew up gorgeous! Good for her, she looks really healthy and happy. I'm so glad it worked out, I did remember your frantic posts on tumblr about that itty bitty baby.
