The universe of the Halo video game series is expanded in seven short animated films from Japan's greatest anime directors and studios but the question is... are they any good?! Spoiler, some of them I have things to say about, see my mini-review at the end for that.
There is loads in this which is not in the YouTube edit (edited by someone else) so strap in why I adjust my Halo goggles to a different style of storytelling. Let's go!

On your comment at the start about if the art style change would effect anything is funny because Halo's aesthetic was inspired by Mecha anime such as Mobile Suit Gundam. Which feature very, very grim depictions of war not afraid to show even children graphically dying in combat.
