Lackadaisy Whirlwind/Headlong

The last two pages for Volume 2. You can view them at their full sizes here:
Lackadaisy Whirlwind
Lackadaisy Headlong I do hope you've enjoyed the 'book'. I've been at it for so long, calling it complete feels a bit unreal at the moment. I really don't think I could have finished without you all, though. Trudging onward with it under the burden of a game industry job was taking its toll. Too much time was lost to empty-feeling toil that kept finding its way into the trash, and on the comic side, physical exhaustion, frustration, disappointment and heartache was piling up. Patronage has defibrillated this faltering labor back to life, though. It utterly changed everything.
So, again, thank you for your support (financial and moral) and for bearing with me. It means the world, and above all, I hope you are finding this worthy and worthwhile.
Of course, a great deal of Volume 2 is build-up and set-up for things that happen in Volume 3. I'm excited to get started on that (it's rather more action oriented than this volume has been). I'll be back soon with some details about when Volume 3 will begin, and what stuff I'll be doing and sharing with you guys in the coming months.
Freckle is officially the most frightening member of Lackadaisy

Hey, I've just realized that this is the first time in the comic canon that we've finally seen Freckle in his Fedora and trench coat!

Mondo Congratulations on completing Volume 2 (and Volume 1), Tracy!!! Your work is a real encouragement and inspiration, and is outstandingly beautiful, unique, and professional!! It reminds me a lot of Blacksad! I spent roughly 18 months alone in my home studio during 2014 and 2015 animating the video on my main page, so I really appreciate and feel where you're coming from. I just found and started following your Patreon page and I'm just now getting mine off the ground, so I'd love to get your feedback and speak with you about how you made your Patreon so successful. If/whenever you have a free moment. Congrats again, well done, and please keep up the stellar work! 😊👍🏻✨

I'm really excited Tracy.
First and foremost a huge congratulations on the completion of Volume 2's contents! I thoroughly enjoyed the pacing, the drama and character + story development in this volume, inspiring me to complete Lackadaisy audio contemplation project several months ago.
Nevertheless, I wonder how, and if you do, celebrate an accomplishment such as completing a full volume of your story - company with family and friends over dinner and a bottle of wine perhaps?
Anyways going back to my excitement, so proud that you've made it this far and the fact that you continue to inspire people with your work ethic and the commitment to publishing quality work - every time.
This leads me to the next thing to talk about - THIS PAGE.
I mean god-in-banana-splits... This... Not very often do I get that 'wow' factor from a graphic novel/web comic series... The atmosphere you've created here, the cinematic presentation and approach you've established for this scene, the realistic visual details on the backdrops, the animation and drama you put into Rocky and Freckle... It's unbelievable.
Golly, I want to be in that scene right now! lol
I'll probably be hiding in those bushes, stalking and studying them with my sketchbook - while admiring the weather...
What a strange fellow I am.
I just got back from North America and was wishing for a cold and wet autumn in Australia - but as I got out of the airport I cursed the skies for giving me yet another beautiful temperate day - not a cloud in the sky, sun out and it was cooling - I must be mad for cursing!
Anyways when I got back home and loaded this up the next day on my PC I was immediately taken to my favourite place... The weather was perfect. A storm is brewing... Mua ha ha ha ha!!! Yes... I was genuinely delighted to see this. It made me stare at the screen for a good few minutes before I scrolled further down on what follows after the truck passes by Freckle - barely missing him!
So, being excited with a barrel of enthusiasm I decided to dedicate something here that will help me with my training to produce better illustrations for my graphic novel. In fact I just finished typing the script, it's only one page but it's going to feature Rocky, Freckle, some Marigold thugs and Mitzy. Gonna make it an exercise to look forward to producing!
So thanks Tracy for making such great stories, and thanks for continuing to inspire us all!
Last but not least, as mentioned on my other comment, here's some music to share with you!
The John Brothers Piano Company:

A quick story behind this: I was exploring the beautiful university town of Berkeley in California when I happen to be invited to the sounds of what seems to be the roaring 20's - but it wasn't the hip notes nor craze of the roaring 20's, it was a little more honky tonks... So I approached the crowd that surrounded these two gentlemen, one who brought in his piano and one who brought in his trumpet. The two busked and entertained everyone with their music and the moment they finished I got up to them and shared my compliments. In fact, I got their album!

I'm so happy for you that you've completed another volume. Your work has gotten even better from when I first started reading it! The wait for the next one will probably kill me but I'm so eager to find out what happens next to everyone. You certainly know how to keep your audience wanting more and I can really respect that. Have fun at the con you're going to, I can't wait to hear how it was when you get back :D Have fun and good luck Tracy!

Congrats tracey after all the hard work you've put into the volume i hope it goes swimingly. Such a beautiful and atmospheric page though my first reaction to seeing rocky was for Ahthelove ofgod dont get in with him why ANYONE do that! thaough the contrasts between the gold and blue tones is lovely and the blue of rockies eyes is chilling.

Oh, yeah...hehe. April Fools Day just happened to coincide with this update. I should have realized the implications. =P
Anyway, that is correct. The volume is complete. Volume 3 will pick up where this left off.

At first I took this to mean the comic was complete, then took it as an April Fools, before I realized you were talking about being find with the current "volume". Haha, relieved, though! Thank you for putting so much incredible work into a passion project, and I'm glad Patreon is around to help things like this get support. Can't wait to see what happens next!

This is fantastic. That thunderstorm is amazing- looks just like a lot I've seen here in Kansas.
And Rocky is absolutely terrifying. I love him. Can't wait to see what he gets up to.

Tracy,
Please receive my most sincere congratulations on the completion of the Volume 2, this most awaited event in our little Lackadaisy universe couldnt be achieved in a most exquisite way, making worth every minute of expectation and serving a secondary purpose as Volume 3's grand overture!
Rocky's face reflects the emotion and adrenaline rush Im sure everyone is feeling towards Volume 3. To end this comment Im going to dare giving a title to the last panel based on the feeling these final pieces are giving me:
"CRY HAVOC! and let slip the dogs of war!

To quote an old saying in the Lackadaisy-verse... "So there they are. MS. MITZI'S TROUBLE BOYS." I won't even go into how fantastic the art and choices made here are. This speaks for itself. It feels like a Wizard of Oz moment, just before Dorothy and Toto are swept up into the hurricane. "Freckle... I don't think we're in Missouri anymore."

Volume two has been as beautiful and terrible as a dream, or some conception of love. It was a fascinating contrast from the first album, and I look forward to seeing how the next volume is different again. These last pages fit volume two like a crown. I feel lucky to have watched this grow.
