Just another update on Maya. I can't believe how fast she's grown, so I thought I'd include a little chronology. She's actually got her appointment to be spayed this week which, even though it's entirely routine, has me a little worried. I can't help it.
I also want to reiterate my thanks to patrons here. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be working at home, and if I wasn't working at home, I wouldn't have been able to give this little jellybean all the care and attention she needed at first. The shelters I had contacted were already overflowing with kittens, so I don't know what I could have done otherwise to assure that she was looked after.
I guess what I'm trying to say is...THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT.

It is definitely an anxious time for a kitty parent, but I was amazed at how fast they both recovered. Keeping them subdued/not tearing around play fighting and leaping from bookshelf to bed was next to impossible, from the moment they got home. I'm sure that the bean-that-might-be-a-cat will be fine. Thanks for another wonderfully amusing kitten update! I'm glad to take part of the blame.
