It's Friday night, welcome back to Paradise!
Didn't get much work done this week, my free time should open up soon allowing me to put more time into the update. I've still been plugging away at it every day, and it is moving along just very slowly. I'm still planning to release an update before the end of the year, at the moment it's looking like mid-december.
I'm planning on upgrading my computer soon, which will be great one several fronts. Firstly I'm going to get a much needed graphics card update. Second; I usually get rid of my old PC when I upgrade, but this time I'm going to keep it as a render machine. It's still got a lot of life left in it and will allow me to do something I've been wanting to add to the game for some time.
Animations! Previously it was impossible to do due to the amount of time rendering animation takes. Rendering the still images is already incredibly time consuming, I can't even imagine what animations are like. But with a second machine, I can have the thing working away while I can continue working with my main machine. Of course I guess I'm going to have to learn how to do animations, but it's very exciting and will push the game to the next level.
Moving on to something funny; the site I use to make AI music recently added a music video option. Which I tried this week and the thing it created is hilarious and kinda wild how far the whole AI thing has progressed in such a short time. I wonder what this all will look like a year from now.
