Friday Night Beach Chat #26

Welcome back to Paradise for another Friday night on the beach!

Work continues on Chapter 3; ran into some rough spots with images needing to be rendered on the CPU instead of GPU. It something that happens unfortunately and I just have to power through. Luckily it's only a few images so it's not a that big a deal, just have to make sure everything is good with the render before committing the 3 to 4 hours to render it. Can't afford to have to re-do it. Soon this won't be a problem as I'm hoping to get a new video card with more VRAM. When I bought my current card a couple years ago I could have never guessed that I'd be using it to render naughty images. :-)

VRAM is not really something I ever considered before, but it's crucial to this kind of work.

In between setting up scenes this week I worked earnestly on guides, now that I've found an easy way of conveying the information it has gone very smoothly. It's also allowed me to go back and fix some typos and move things around a bit so they flow better in the earlier chapter. Very minor stuff but it was good to go over what I wrote and find little tweaks that could be made. My plan is to debut the guides with the next update, not sure if they will be ready yet but I am getting close. I should know by next week if I'll be able to get it finished in time.

The plan is to have the entire Chapters available with all paths for those who want to see it and individual diagrams that only show a single path. It will be hosted on my website and also available as a PDF download.

As for the release date of Chapter 3, I'm aiming for Sept. 26th for The Lover's tier. I'll know for sure next week if that's going to be it. There should be ample time to get all the renders done but you can never be sure, things can happen and often do.

Moving on...this week the sneak peeks of what was rendered this week. I've gotten some feedback that people wanted to see what happened in Chapter 2 with Derek and Koa. This will now be revealed in the form of flashbacks.

Which is what happened during this scene in Chapter 2 (if you went tanning).

If you didn't go tanning then you end up going tanning in Chapter 3 and will see this scene not in a flashback.

Next up we have a nice lunch with a couple newly met characters. Henry and Diana a very odd couple.
