The Assassins: Part One (special preview)

Using mountains and craggy cliffs as cover, the remote village was almost hidden from the world. Those who knew about it either stayed away due to the rumors, or ventured in close because of curiosity. Those lucky enough to stumble upon it by chance rarely left. Two such souls had found the village by tracking down it’s necromancer for a bounty. They had been waiting at the edge for the village, hidden in the forest for the past couple of days. They waited and watched, studying the daily ins and outs of the village.

“This place seems strange, Dio. Something isn’t right,” the more mascuine one murmured.

The smaller one, Dio, came down from a perch, setting aside their spyglass as they reached into their bag. “We don’t need to worry about it, Demi. All we need is the necromancer. Once we have him we don’t have to worry about this place ever again.”

Demi furrowed his brow. “I’m not so sure.”

“We strike tonight. Go in once all the lights are snuffed out and sneak into his home. We’ll take him back and keep him alive as long as we can,” Dio sniffed.

Demi watched them then turned back his gaze upon the village. “I hope that’s all it is. I really do.”

Dio approached him, pressing close to his body and sliding their hand down his side. “We have time before even dusk arrives.”

Demi cleared his throat. “Do you...do you really want to right now?”

“I think it would be a shame.” Dio dropped to their knees. “Don’t you?”

Demi braced against the tree behind him, smiling as Dio pulled down his pants. They then move the face covering away from their mouth and place it upon the amethyst colored shaft that fell against Demi’s thigh.

“Dio,” Demi breathes softly. “Please be gentle with your teeth this time.” He pulled off his hood, revealing his Tiefling features.

“But that back on,” Dio fussed. “We can’t be seen.” They took Demi’s cock into their mouth.

“It gets hot-” Demi moaned.

They waited for the final light in the village to be snuffed out. Once the whole place was quiet and dark, Dio and Demi snuck inside. They stalked along narrow passages between houses, keeping themselves hidden and quiet until they reached their targeted house. Dio went inside while Demi kept watch at the door.

Dio went into the house, breathing softly as they stalked further. The bedroom door was wide open and from inside the gentle sound of sleeping breath could be heard. Dio went into the room, grabbing the neck of the person in bed then placing a blade near their jaw.

“Get up necromancer. The quieter and more willing you are, the less likely anyone you care about will die.” Dio ripped back the blanket. “Now get-” Before anymore could be spoken, a laugh filled the room.

“You think you can come into my village, my home, and take one of my beloved?” A woman spoke, her voice husky and seductive.

Dio pulled back, preparing their blade to fight if need be. The woman rose from the bed, standing much taller than Dio would have ever expected. Candles flickered on in the room, and Dio was aware they weren’t the only ones there.

“I recognize your kind,” the woman said. Her skin was blue in hue, but that was not what stunned Dio. the woman had horns jutting from her face covered in eyes, all pointed at them. “Assassins, both of you right?”

Dio froze, realizing they must have already gotten to Demi. “How did you know about us?”

The woman smirked, curling her fingers around her chin. “It wasn’t hard.” She took a step towards Dio and the others in the room followed her. “My Ebert is important here. I do not wish to see him be taken.”
