Heavenly Peaks - Cultivation System Part 1

This is a post to share with you how the cultivation system in Heavenly Peaks works. The game takes place in a realm where time is greatly slowed.  6 months is equal to a single day in the "outside realm".

Each day is split up into 6 blocks of time. 2 morning phases, 2 day phases and 2 evening phases. Unlike most games, the player isn't required to sleep every night -- instead it is tied to the player's fatigue.

Cultivation allows the player to perform two very important tasks in game.

• The first is to gather world qi -- that is ambient energy within the environments. This can be gathered in other ways as well, such as elixirs or absorbing the energy from potent energy sources.
• To improve the player's strength. This can happen by infusing the world qi gathered into a stat of the player's choice.

There are two methods for doing this, the first is Quick Cultivation which will use up 2 blocks of time. You will gain world qi according to various factors. The second is called Inner Cultivation. You will recede into your inner world, and there you will go into deep cultivation. This allows the player to automate the process of cultivation and also explore their consciousness to gain self awareness by moving deeper within.

Inner Cultivation will continue until you forcefully stop it or your body uses all of it's fatigue. In your Inner Realm, fatigue costs are substantially less meaning you can meditate for days, weeks or sometimes longer in a simple way that doesn't require the player to deal with boring activities.

When you awaken the days will have progressed accordingly and the results of your cultivation will become apparent.

Quick Cultivation is perfect for when you want to multi-task in a given day or time period while Inner Cultivation is good for when you don't have a specific task to do and want to grow your strength.
