Progress Update for 0.29

TLDR, my target of releasing this weekend is still on and you get some bonus play this month.

For those of you who follow both games (Heavenly Peaks Cultivation and Hom Factory), you might notice that the amount of updates have been somewhat unequal.
The reason for that is pretty simple.

Rather than use HF as a "test bed" for new changes, I wrote them into HPC and refined them to work out the kinks. I'm now I'm in the process of integrating new systems into HF.

So, in effect, I've worked on both at the same time for the past three or four weeks or so.

All that remains for HF is adding more individual and main story content (some of which is already completed), polishing some visual aspects (like adding icons for all of the items you can gather) and a few other things.

My *desire* is to finish up this weekend. Sadly, desires do not always meet up with reality. But regardless of what happens. I want to make it clear that I intend to release HF's latest version no later than Sunday morning. Even I am getting antsy at this point, the lack of a release / late release date is giving me a bit of anxiety. This is also my way of preventing an endless amount of additions, as I am sometime prone to do.

However, reality has a sharp way of kicking me in the teeth pretty regularly when I announce my intentions. So with that in mind, I'll just do the normal and do my best to give you something to enjoy. With that in mind, let's talk about another game, namely Heavenly Peaks Cultivation.

I was insanely ambitious with my update for Heavenly Peaks Cultivations in the past few weeks. To the point that I've done about 50 major updates and about 120 or more minor changes to HPC.  I have actually spent 5-6 weeks total on all of these changes. However, many of them work to build a foundation for gameplay. In other words, pictures and videos are easier to notice, but sometimes you might overlook the systems that power the project. My goal was to only have to set up this foundation once, and for the most part I've managed to get almost every main feature implemented.

The reason I was willing to do this is quite simple (as is the relevance), I want to get both games as close to their intended state (at least when it comes to gameplay features) as possible. Also I spent an insane amount of time play testing and focusing on stability.

Once those two demons are exorcised, it would just be a matter of creating visual content. Since HF and HPC have overlapping systems, I decided to multi-task.

What I did not realize was how long it would take to play test all of it (something that would usually be handled by players, but I don't really have a dedicated team of play testers that I can rely on at current).

I'm currently in the last legs of finishing that up with all of my might, so that I can then turn my attention towards the remaining additions to HF and finalize things there.

Frankly, I'm reaching my limits (I've logged about 8-12 hours a day for the past 3 weeks sans the time the storm rolled through), but I will push on because I believe the payoff will be worth it.

If I can sort this now and achieve stability, I will have an easier time in the future when it comes to adding more content.

Since this is a unique situation , I also came up with a unique reward of sorts. This month you will get two games for the price of one. Heavenly Peaks' 0.6 release will be cross posted here as well. This will pretty much be the only time I do this, but it's only fitting so that you can fully understand the effort I put into the last month. It will also effectively double or triple the benefit you gain from being a Patron for this and last month.

When I release Heavenly Peaks, I'll also make the latest version of the game available here to download as well.

(Mai giving Bai Huan a good thrashing)

This is, in addition to Hom Factory's latest release (0.29). My hope in doing this is to provide as much value to your patron membership as possible for this month and still provide the best service possible. I still hope to hit my original goals for content with 0.29, but on the off case I fall short, HPC is also a different spice that you can try out to compensate for that.

Also, along with that you can also expect another new change for HF, courtesy of time spent working on HPC:

The Gift option for Vixens will finally be usable in version 0.29. The purpose of this is essentially to speed up the process of building bonds and affection. Since affection gives you more bond, it will help you in several ways to keep each Vixen happy.

So far, HF's list of new additions looks like this:

- New Inventory System

- New Crafting System

- Magic Spells System

- Gift System Implemented

-Various QOL and Stability fixes / changes.

Sorry for the novel, but I wanted to explain properly where I'm at and why it's taking longer than intended.
Back to work!
