Lunara sketch wip!
Added 2016-02-02 15:25:16 +0000 UTCAn update on my Lunara process! After a lot of debating and sketching, I finally decided on which thumbnail I wanted to use. I adjusted it a little bit and changed some things around, so I'm mostly happy with it so far. I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what I should be doing with her hands - initially I had her other hand holding the spear, but realised that I need to change things up because the spear would be off frame and the positioning of the arms and hands just didn't look all that attractive. So now, she's conjuring up a little wisp buddy instead!
My sketches are always very messy and scribbly, I'm going to attempt to clean this up a lot from this point. I don't really "ink" things, as I tend to just go over the sketch with the same brush in a darker line on a separate layer. You can see I started doing that here with the grey lines on her arm/chest. These are generally still pretty messy, and I tend to paint over them a lot.
